trying to update HGEnhanced to get Iron Silence to work, but after downloading hge.hgweb.org/updater/hge_updater.zip and putting the files in ~/nwn i get the following error after running ./erf.linux -vm hge.hgweb.org/man/hges.txterf.linux: relocation error: /usr/lib32/libnss_mdns4_minimal.so.2: symbol strlen, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference it used to work just fine, however, this is the first time i tried updating since I upgraded to ubuntu 10.04 any ideas?

Wow, that's annoying (and apparently a LOT of people are hitting similar issues with 10.04). Please try this and let me know if it fixes it: LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 ./erf.linux -vm hge.hgweb.org/man/hges.txt
Also, are you on 64-bit? Thanks, Acaos

If that doesn't work, you should be able to get a working binary with (in your NWN directory): wget wget svn.acaos.webfactional.com/erf/trunk/precompiled/erf.linux-ubuntu-10.04-x86_64 mv -f erf.linux-ubuntu-10.04-x86_64 erf.linux chmod +x erf.linux
I'm still trying to find out if there's any other method which can allow the static version to run without a recompile (but not having any luck so far, and sadly I haven't even managed to get the static version to compile on 10.04 due to massive library profusion). Acaos

More RDD levels also means more uses of Hellball per rest. Though hellball is not the end all be all that it is in some modules. It mainly just generates a ton of KB. Also summons are currently useless, though it's possible they might get an upgrade at some point. Really it's all about min/max and figuring out where the break point in a splash can be, ie. can you only splash 1, 2 or 5 levels of another build.
Best, Graham

Sorry, wrong URL. Correct commands are: wget svn.acaos.webfactional.com/erf/trunk/precompiled/erf.linux-ubuntu-10.04-x86_64 mv -f erf.linux-ubuntu-10.04-x86_64 erf.linux chmod +x erf.linux
(Edit) Edited URL to not have leading http:// because Proboards shortened it. You may need to add http:// before svn.acaos.webfactional.com. Sorry. Acaos

I also ran into the 'unable to acquire manifest' error on Fedora 14 64 bit, and the Ubuntu 64-bit erf.linux package provided here worked for me as well. After renaming, I ran:: LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.6.35 ./erf.linux -vm hge.hgweb.org/man/hges.txtand this gave me updates for both HG and CEP. Thanks! - pascal
