Our Tireless Dev team and helpers have put together a set of areas for the elemental planes of earth, air, fire and water. These areas are to be released very soon. Here's a couple of screenshots from them. The Elemental Plane of Air The Elemental Plane of Fire -S

Well, I want to be a bear, but that's neither here nor there.
More importantly, I can't wait! I'd love some relaxed high leveling areas, and them being to amazing to look at it a huge added bonus.
Kudos!

There's one thing I'd ask though, won't the fire plane be similarly laggy as Avernus? The glowing fire effects look alike, and even after reducing the video settings, I still lag there, so if they really are alike, the fire plane will be a good source of lag again.

They're the same effects, but the lag is graphics lag, which only affects your client, not the server, so it won't be a 'source' of any lag. Further, it'll only be avernus-like if you're going through it with an avernus - sized party - party members and their buffs are pretty graphics-heavy. These ares, like the Feywild, are scaled for soloers up to parties of 10.

These areas are like the fey, for soloing scaling up to big parties. As such, no bosses. Level range increases as you go deeper into the planes, but the full level range is 41-47 in the shallow planes, all the way up to 53-59 in the deep planes. Basically, we now have soloing areas for all legendary level ranges.

To expound a bit more on that, each Elemental Plane has three layers, Shallow, Middle, and Deep. Just as the Feywild is aimed at characters in the 40-45 range, the Shallow layer is aimed at characters in the 45-50 range, the Middle layer for the 50-55 range, and the Deep layer for the 55-60 range.
Also, weapon enchantment gems drop at an increased rate in the Elemental Planes, and there is a small chance of +16 gems dropping in the Deep layers.

will the summon spells that summon elementals summon only the elementals of the plane you are on? (and bigger/stronger versions?)

Summon spells have not been edited yet, but they are on the slate for future edits, possibly using the elemental plane creatures we have made.

Update says: -- The quest to earn the Ring of Firewalking is capped at level 20. -- The quest to earn the Ring of Passwall is capped at level 25. Are these items bond to character like i. e. water ring? (Would that mean that my level > 25 chars will never gets them and therefore never can visit the corresponding planes?)
