This build is outdated after the Update 2012-03-28 because "SM's now only receive their Tenser's and Ethereal Visage bonuses if wielding a quarterstaff."
Spellsword (30 Wizard, 7 Weapon Master, 3 Rogue)
The Spellsword is a Wizard that is a true master of her favored weapon: The rapier. Technically, she is a Staffmaster but in contrary to her male equivalent, she focuses not on her physical strength but on her dexterity. She uses her arcane power for self-buffing and some other tricks…including two epics and epic dodge with spell.
The Spellsword is very hard to kill at level 60 (dexer, 85 % conceal from Etherial Visage, epic dodge from Epic Mage Armor spell, Auto-rez by HG-Epic: Divination - Contingency) and can hit enemy with AB = 92 with 7 attacks and 10-20 x 3 crit range with her rapier. She has 3 levels of Rogue, 7 levels of WM and 30 levels of Wizard. That mean CL 52@ 60 for Wizard spells and CL 57@ 60 for Staffmaster spells. The Tensor’s of a Spellsword has turns/CL.
The weaknesses of are Spellsword are the low HP, not so good saves, buff-dependence (look out for spell breach protection, Mord’s protection) and she needs an item or pandect for shields. There are some shields that do not interfere with conceal of the Etherial Visage spell.
My Spellsword is currently at level 43 and I have a lot of fun to play this char. Comments for improvements are very welcome.
