The reason it'would be hard to track the Craft Weapn AB bonus is because when you get 40 points in the skill it automatically adds it to your AB. The only way to truly test would be to get to level 36, level to 37 and put 40 points in Craft Weapon, and check your ab before and after. Test chamber anyone?

Simply add up your bab, then add str mod and feats bonus, find a bard to buff you with gmw and song to ensure that you have reach the +20 cap, then hit something and check your ab in the log. Your ab should be 1 higher than this calculated ab if the craft weapon bonus is outside cap.

Don't mean to be rude, but is it possible you calculated something wrong? My Weapon Master relies on having the highest AB possible for Disarming, so I worked out what his final AB (with craft weapon) would be very carefully, and according to logs, it matches my calculations (110-111 depending on Craft Weapon gear : i.e. Craft Weapon is outside the cap).

Hmm I don't think I calculated wrong, may miss something but I highly doubt it. I test it on my bfm tank, it can self buff to +20 cap so getting the max ab is simple.I may try to get up a screenie later when I have time. Mind telling me your wm class combination and final str?

First, from the relevent update notes: Craft Weapon now grants 1 point ab per 40 ranks, up to +3 at 120. This ab stacks with everything.Second, I did testing using hacks to change the craft weapon skill on the fly. Buffs | AB on sheet | AB in logs | Base with DB weapon and CW 0->33 | 78 | 78 | add bard song | 85 | 85 | add +11 GMW | 96 | 96 | add +16 IoF | 101 | 98 | add Aid + Prayer | 105 | 98 | CW 40->73 | 105 | 99 | CW 80->113 | 105 | 100 | CW 90->123 | 105 | 101 |
Which shows that Craft Weapon works outside the +20 cap. If it didn't, then most of the demigod tanks made in the last 6 months or so would have been wasting lots of skill points, since a lot of them max CW. In addition, the Teldar's Toolbelt would make it very obvious. That's a highly sought after item, by many for the +1-2 AB it ends up giving more than the the GMWs. This is of course on tanks with song + IoF, which means they're already hitting the +20 cap.

Craft weapon doesn't work for me, maybe it's because I'm a quasi? I took some screens, just ask if you need further info. My craft weapon skillMy Bab(note the 42 bab is your pre-epic + epic bab + 20) Ab after tenser and true strike12 (pre-epic bab) + 10 (epic bab) + 15 (tier 1 Lbab) + 20 (cap) + 31 (str mod) + 7 (wf/ewf/poweress/lwf) = 95 Craft weapon should push that to 96 but it didn't happen in my case.

As a transformed Dragon Disciple, you are Large. Large creatures suffer -1 AB.

Updated - I have built this to L60. At the end I have sufficient skill points to max craft weapon and some more to spend, the rest cross-class concentration from 18 to 30 (could be more if taken in fighter level and I advise it).

This is a very nice build In terms of Damage output, Kills, and survival, Fayne's barb has been at the top of the pile in every hell run we've done together.... But: But I read this under "Topic: Documentation Summaries" in C lass/Ability/Spell Customizations forum: The additional attacks that will be lost for non shapestrong barbs who use a shield are the scripted 2 extra attacks that you get on HG, not the offhand 2 attacks you get for having Improved Two Weapon Fighting in vanilla nwn - wearing a shield still loses you these and therefore your build has 9 attacks per round with a shield.

Thanks for your comments Bort. I had been stayed off from this build until I got my hands on a decent collections of BURs. My survivavility is good only cos I'm decked out in BURs, esp the magic imm rings and scarf. They are even more crucial on this build than to other melee builds, since 11 attacks per round provokes seriuos KB. Undying is medium size, they don't lose the 2 offhand attacks. I can show you in game later.

I'm curious as to what your attack progression is. Anyone know? is it as follows?
95 haste 93 88 83 78 mainhand 93 88 offhand 95 90 scripted 73 68 harper scout
Just wondering how useful the lower AB attacks are and whether using Power Attack for extra damage is viable.
Cheers, -Bort
