You should be able to download the critical rebuild by going to dl.hgweb.org/169/Acaos

With the 1.69 critical rebuild (previously downloaded), and Worldgate for the hak version 18, it took me all of 10 minutes to update my game. Hope it works. Me too! -crossing fingers-

They are in the override folder, and a series of 8 or files that begin with a_ and end with .mdl (e.g. a_ba.mdl). They will be automatically moved out of the way with NWN 1.69 in any case. Acaos Would be good to check to make certain. I decided to check mine, and they are still in my Override directory. Might be good to list the names of all the files we should be deleting from our Override folders. 11 files, right? Trazik

Does it matter whether I update NWN to 1.69 or HGE to 18 first?

I'm pretty sure it is 'cause the 1.69 update "look" if you have the right dialog.tlk file in your folder. So : 0. Put the dialog.tlk file there (Edit: This one is the original file; can be downloaded from a link from acaos - Sorry if i mislead someone ) 1. update to 1,69 with the critical rebuild file 2. update HG enhanced

Do NOT put the dialogue.tlk file in your nwn folder until after you update. I never took it out, and used the normal updater, and it choked on that file. When I then tried the critical rebuild, it could no longer find the exe, and I wound up having to do a full reinstall.

The following files in the override belong to the animation fix and should be deleted (you may not have all of these, and NWN 1.69 will install other files in your override directory, so do not just erase the entire thing): - a_ba.mdl
- a_ba_casts.mdl
- a_ba_med_weap.mdl
- a_ba_non_combat.mdl
- a_da.mdl
- a_dfa.mdl
- a_dwarf.mdl
- a_dwarff.mdl
- a_elff.mdl
- a_fa.mdl
- a_gnome.mdl
- a_halforc.mdl

Funky Can you clarify the recommendation, should I delete the dialog.tlk file from the NWN directory or just replace the HGE one with the original, before running the 1.69 crit rebuild? Thanks,

replace your dialog.tlk with the original 1.68 dialog.tlk before running the critical rebuild
after the rebuild is complete, you can replace your new 1.69 dialog.tlk with the hg enhanced version
