Thanks to the generosity of our host and a suggestion from Acaos, we are getting a 4 machine on which to run the servers! This means we will have 8 24 player servers instead of 6 32s, and will be able to up the player slots on them as needed for special events and guild events. And that, of course, means much less lag! Servers 117 and 118 coming soon, most likely on Thursday. Funky

Woot less lag but unfortunately might mean more hell runs and more lowbie runs being pushed aside T_T.

And a Merry Christmas to you, too, FunkySwerve!! With the improved inter-server messaging (NICE ONE, whoever put that in place!), this should be a massive improvement! Less lag. Easier communication. More space to run around!

Sounds great as long as the memory and I/O holds up Out of curiosity what is the current physical configuration of the servers?

Sounds great. Seems it will alleviate more problems than it will cause. This host has really been good to us, going to have to browse their store for some xmas gifts now ~DL

Wow. The growth in this community/mod has been an amazing sight. I remember stumbling across this mod when there were just three servers. The fact that this community continues to grow, expand, and flourish is a testament that the DM team does a terrific job. I bow down to you. YAY!

Great news, and just further props to both Bioware for making an engine that stands the test of time and scalability, and Funky, Acaos, and the rest of the team for building on that to make an awesome multiplayer experience

I look forward to increasing the amount of servers in my "Favorites" window by 33%.

You guys should bottle and sell this stuff! (though it would probably be illegal). For profit developers rarely deliver on the scale that you brave volunteers have over the past several years. I just put my money where my mouth is again and intend to continue to support your fine efforts. I challenge all you other HG enthusiasts to do the same! Merry Christmas Guys and Gals!
In all seriousness, just filter your Internet servers for HG and you don't need favorites, hehe! HG IS NWN!

I allways use "direct connect" and just alter the last digit for which server I want to join, faster and avoids gamespy. Great news about the servers
