Last weekend I had almost 29 billion in my transfer bank. I know I bought a few things since then but I should have at least 20 billion left in there. I just went to get some gold out and it said I had only 349 million left. That is far from 20 billion. Is there a problem with the bank or is it from bidding on auctions and not getting the gold back when I lose the bid? Would appreciate any info on what is going on and what happened to my gold.

Given that only one person has that much money in their bank, it's incredibly more likely that you had 2.9 billion. The market system DOES hold funds in escrow until a higher bid comes along, but I find it extremely hard to believe that you bid on that amount of items. If you look at the auction listing, I don't think ALL the current bids total anywhere close to 29 billion - there's only a single bid over a billion, and it was apparently a mistake (2.5 bill on clasps of the forewarned, there's a post on it elsewhere in the forums).

Funky As incredibly as it may seem I know for a fact I had in the range of 29 billion last weekend. Since then if you check your logs I have bought 2 bur race books.. one was a Zentharthy for 2.5 billion and one other that I can't recall. And I made a trade with Kleb for two books, Half Fiend and Juggernaut for 3.5 billion. That is why I said I should had at least 20 billion left. The only thing my toons buy in the hell store are potions of etherealness. And that has only been twice. If you keep logs on sales you will see I prob. am the highest seller of stuff in the sale chest for the last 6 months. Most my items I sell are from 100 million to 250 million. and I do it every week. Please don't just assume I don't have this kind of money because you don't know me. I have played here for at least two years. All I ask is if someone can see what happened. I know for a fact I had that much money. It just seems like it had to do with the auctions as there was 4 BUR books I was bidding on at the same time but only won 2. The only other thing that comes to mind is the other day I added my husbands account to my CD key so we could log on with either computer. Thanks

I didn't assume anything, I merely made a statement of probability based on the facts, specifically to find out how sure you were. If you switched cd keys, that would explain it, since accounts are bound to key.

Well, I can say that they bought two books off me for 3.5 billion a few days ago. I have also witnessed first hand the amount that they sell, the amount of hell runs they do, and can easily see them having that much gold. I myself have close to 20 billion in my account and thats just me. Two players combined who sell far more than me could easily accumulate that much gold.

We did not switch CD keys but used the scry to add his account to my computer. This way he could use my computer. The CD key is still my origanal one on my computer and the gold was under my account, my computer and my CD key. We did not swap CD keys out.
Thanks
PS: The days the auctions were over were the 22nd and the 23rd.

The possibility of it isn't in question - there are 28 players with 10B or more (top is 30B for those of you dying to know, with a couple at 26 and 27), and there are of course many players with less liquid wealth like electrifiers. It's the probability that concerns me - on one hand, the possibility of player error, via mistake over amount or swapped out cd key, against the possibility of an extremely serious but amazingly undiscovered bug in a system that has handled thousands of transactions a day for hundreds of days.

I did confirm you had 29 billion in the bank as of September 20th by extracting a backup. I'll need to discuss this with Funky, though.

I dont know if its possibly related, or if there has been a modification to the SIMtools, but starting today some of the usual commands give TMI errors, and others dont function like they used to.
!who server and all derivations TMI.

Not related. You can't just use !who server; you need to specify at least one other filter option (like !who all server guild). I'll make sure it makes this clearer.
Which 'others' don't function like they used to?

Mainly the !who server derivations. Earlier today it was showing me where everyone on all the servers were without splitting it into servers, so one big list. Also, from today the filter commands seem to be bugging out on me which they never did before. I exclude combat info they use filter sr and checks usually. At the moment I get no info into my combat log.

I have no issue with !filter whatsoever.
!who server is supposed to not split it into subservers, since it adds the server as a prefix. It's also not supposed to let you use it without other filter options is the issue, but this is buggy. That's why it's TMIing, because it's trying to list too many players.

Also, I need the day (and time if possible) you last saw the money, so I don't have to dig through every single database backup.

The last time I checked the balance was the 21st (probably late afternoon/evening PST) as I started bidding on 4 bur subbys that were over on the 22nd most of the bids were for 2bil or more. Also on the 23 I withdrew 3.5 bil in increments so I still had some then also.

I have a very strong suspicion you may have accidentally bid 20 billion instead of 2 billion. Is there any possibility of this?
