This is on Ubuntu. And the card worked fine with the game in Windows, so the card is fine. Here are the instructions on installing NWN on Linux. It's really pretty simple, and the instructions are well laid out. I am using the generic driver that's built in to Ubuntu at the moment. I might try giving an ATI driver a shot, to see if it works any better. It's not awful, and far from unplayable. Just kind of comical. And since this is my 2nd account/machine, I don't really worry about it too much. But getting it right WOULD be nice. Oh, last of all, it doesn't do that to me on my other install of Ubuntu; or didn't, 6 months ago. So I'm guessing it's a driver thing, and I can just try to find that, and be good to go. Having it look like this certainly does make it interesting to look at though.

try finding the 6 month old driver and using that..... or email ATI/Linux and ask for a compatible one

The 6 months ago install was a different machine with a different vid card.

hahaha well i guess it up to whether or not you can find a driver now.... and i remembered why im using XP instead of free Ubuntu right now.... they dont make MBP hardware drivers for linux which means no interwebz... which is only a slight issue
