We are moving the module to a new server based on the AMD Athlon chipset with an extremely tuned, lightwieght Linux kernel. We apologize for the long down time. We hope that you will enjoy the server even more when it is back up and running. We will post the IP as soon as we have it. Stay tuned!

Guys, you have NO IDEA what we just did for you all! The DM team decided, that we could all chip in, and we ended up buying a 32 person dedicated server, hosted by Dungeon Server! www.dungeonserver.com/ We are paying $60.00 monthly for our beautiful new server, and would appreciate any donations possible! Oh, and we should be back up tomorrow afternoon! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

As much as the upgrades are appreciated and all......a Linux box? A little bluebird (a cute little one, in a white leotard, carrying a staff) told me that many problems were had with Linux and PoA when they tried to run them together once upon a time.

Arakasi, that little bluebird must be into some bad bird seed, because our OLD server was running on the same kernel, the new server will be.
Mac OS X is a Linux based system, holding much of the same architecture. NWN for Mac/Linux, are virtually identical.
There should be absolutely no problems, getting everything working.

Just passing on the news, my man. Luna asked where da server was, and I told her. She say,"Ungwah? We try Linux before, it not work right. We must watch server all times because it crash lot. We spend many moons watching puter for signs of badness. Get tired of this, switch back to Windows. All happy now." EDIT: Maybe those weren't her EXACT words, but you get the gist.

No worries, amigo.
We already were dealing with crashes on our old server, due to crappy Mac software from Bioware.
We have COMPLETE control over this new server, as well as 1 button restarting, from ANYWHERE.
Just tell a DM the server went down/crashed, and it will be back online, immediately.
It is actually easier to restart now, than it has ever been before.

WOOT! We got everything working MUCH sooner than I could have ever hoped for! Go ahead and login to the new and improved server! The IP is 64.91.228.32:5122, but it seems you need to login through Gamespy to get into the server. A small change from before, but no problem.

FYI, the server's showing up in the in-game server screen now, no need to use Gamespy. (It's eeeeeeeevil, I tell you.....EEEEEEVIL!)
