Gonna use this one for my comeback toon . Few questions....It's obviously a waste to take the 2WF feats if your gonna go with a single weapon (I was thinking scythe) so what other feats would you take instead??? From reading the posts on this board I understand that the double weapons have recently been nerfed. Does this build get 2 extra off hand attacks if you equip the double weapon in one hand when large and then shapestrong to medium? As I understand it from other posts large chars no longer get extra attacks when using a double weapon in one hand but medium chars still get extra attacks when using double weapons. So does this mean that this build is effectively the only way in which you can get extra attacks from double weapons and equip a shield at the same time??? If so then I can see that a double-weapon would probably a better choice than using the scythe. Any recommendations as to what type of double weapon to use? ? Tx. Flash.

for barbarians, if you can manage to fit in a double weapon, i think its well worth it. medium toons get onhand and offhand attacks with double weapons. barbarians just add a shield to that.

Any barbarian build with over 30 levels and all three dualing feats can get the 2 offhand attacks. Not just this one. Any double weapon will do. I suggest you use what you have. I use double axes. This is probably a good long term choice. spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pkPtUjd4yKNxPFUqYFmWsMQWhen the weapon changes go in, it looks like double axe will have a multiplier bump at the costs of a higher iteration. This build is not a unitank build, so it has some AB to spare for that change. Having said that with the dex it does have makes it fairly resistant to dex checks. The build itself is designed to take advantage of all the barb features. Many barbarian builds leave out terrifying rage. This one has a fully operational rage. While you may not "freeze" most things in terror, you do lower monster saves and skills with a constant area of affect aura. Moonbeam's rage is D/C 63 before pens. While lowering a monsters saves by 2 may not strike people as a lot, any caster or meleer with a D/C based attack will love you for it. The skill drop is not that impressive but a few points can mean a lot in some cases. Tyranlthixis

with the new changes large characters using the shapestrong will transform to medium sized characters. Will barbarian still be able to wield weapon AND shield at the same time and get the extra attacks??

A barbarian who changes to Medium size with a double weapon equipped receives offhand attacks, even if they have a shield equipped. Acaos

You can also gain another extra attack if you use the Toyshop boots if you are interested in maximizing your damage output.

Okay cool. asked because medium sized toon cannot normally wield large weapon AND shield at the same time. barbarian is the only exception(?)
And hey, how are the saves and AB of this build? And would BG work instead of CoT?

Barbarians (and bards) get an extra skill point per level (HG modification) which is rewarded once you take your first legendary level. You will then get skill points from barbarian levels taken before lvl 41. And using a subrace based on human or half-elf you'll get another skill point per level. So you're looking at 4 (barbarian) + 1 (human) + 1 (barbarian extra on HG) + 2 (int mod) points per level but since you're not taking barbarian levels only, you might be a bit lower than that score.
I'd hold off craft weapon and/or craft armor until LLs so you certainly have enough points for UMD and a tumble dump at level 40. In LLs just fill off what you've left out when you have skill points available.
The !list levels command will show all skill point allocations (and other stuff) for the first 40 levels so you can check that if you forgot which skills you've been investing in already.
