At the request of my wife I've posted my fallen angel version in this thread to make it more readily accessible. I've now reached demigod status x1 with my fallen angel battle cleric. I believe its the first one through, so I'll add a few comments.
Discipline is far less of a problem than it is with other builds. As long as you can hit 127 outside of the hells, it is fairly easy to stay at 127 discipline anywhere in the hells with extended greater restoration on. There are lapses because of death and spells wearing off, but you are far better off than most meleers. I did not get slagged once and I was the groups Ichor specialist and was aggressively beating on Asmodeus the entire fight. The only problems I've had with my BC was in Malbogue which is a problem layer for many strength tanks.
If you're a new player and have Fallen Angel or a Vet and you have an old retired cleric you want to upgrade into something I highly recommend something like this. Another Tip for Fallen Angel Battle clerics is to keep your eye out for Draughts of Enchantment. There will come times when Instruments of Faith and/or +14/+15 greater magic weapon is not available. These will allow you to upgrade your gmw to +14 from +13 for you and the group.
This versions top AB is 92 (with strength artifact, or 93 with maxed craft weapon and strenght arti), has a full strength Gate buff, and LSA Discipline. Saves are all over 60. Definitely much more playable in the hells even with FA. Not overly pleased with my domain choices but I think they're as good as there are for a non caster cleric.
Starting Race: Human (Fallen Angel)
Free Feats : Divine shield, Divine Might
Starting stats:
Fallen Angel
Str 16
Dex 8

Wis 12(17)
Char 8(10)

Trickery for the improved invisibility spell which is a great conceal buff (scales up to 35%) and Fire for Energy Buffer and Wall of Stone. Another tempting selection would be Plant for new improved bugs and barkskin for your summons.

-decent damage against crit immune monsters
-LONG lasting critical immunity
-Front line extended Battletide and Healing circle for your party
-Free Mass Res ability
Cons
-Modest hitpoints (not terrible but you're no DD)
