Been asked about caster cleric build recently so i guess i'll post mine out here. the cleric build is focused on both hell and elysium/aboleth/pom so hopefully there'll more ppl enjoying the fun in the whole areas on Higher Ground. There're two cleric builds. one is for Good alignment based cleric, the other is Evil based. each one has its use so which one u'd prefer is all at your choice.
I've played the similar variation of the first cleric build to x5demigod and get him tagged to elysium and aboleth as well, so the first build will be mainly built to focus on both hell and elysium/aboleth.
1. the Angel of Healing -- Raphael
Introduction: with the visits to Elysium and Aboleth, i realised banishment focused cleric is in high demand. there'll be lots of mobs like deva summoned by planetar, fog of madness etc. all need a banishment. together with their greater restoration/IOF/Girding of Faithful for the party, such a cleric can be a great addition or actually essential on these runs.
What this build will have:
--5 Cleric Epic Spells ( including IOF, Girding of faithful, and Aegis)
--2 Legendery spell focus: Evocation and Dvination (for implosion, Gate and CC)
--2 Greater Ruin per rest
--Max Wisdom
--High Universal Saves

Race/Subrace
Human/Half-Celestial

5>. about the build:
1). this build is for a cleric that uses robe+torch instead of armor+shield. that's what monk lvl is for. if u plan on armor + shield, this build doesnot apply(However, when u lvl it in LL areas before lvl 60, armor+shield works as well but not for after lvl 60).
2). the cleric build i'm using is more or less the same except i went all necromancy focus instead of abjuration because i have a pair of boots which grants me greater spell focus:abjuration for free. so with energy drain and abj draughts i can keep my banishment DC high as well.
3). LSF:Divination gives the best Gate and CC. i've seen lots of cleric players talking about being squishy before they can use ruby rod for crit imm. from what i saw when i partied with them i think the big problem is they donot reGate after their gate is gone. a cleric with Gate is just invincible.
4). Make full use of the new enchantment spell: rebuke. since u donot have necromancy focus but u'll have ESF:enchantment, this spell does help a lot. it's like a cleric's version of weird in a way. but note mind or domination imm ignores the insta death part.
------------------------------------------------------------------
2. the Angel of Death -- Samael
Introduction: All evil cleric can cast heartbane which is a great addition to the cleric spell choice such as banishment is a great addition to the previous cleric. with heartbane u'll find most mobs in hell u canot insta kill with destruction/implosion can all be insta killed by heartbane, such as: amnizu, cornugons, gelugons etc. However, the evil cleric is at the cost of the loss of paladin lvl which means no cha bonus saves.
What this build will have:
--Able to cast heartbane
--Max Wisdom
--5 Cleric Epic spells ( including IOF and Girding of Faithful)
--2 Legendery spell focus: Evocation and Necromancy ( for implosion, heartbane/destruction)

5>. about the build:
No save feats on the build cuz after playing with it for a while and also Cleric's Greater Restoration, it's not really mattering much. So far I have 0 death of the abyss run I did on this cleric and havenot failed a devastating save check yet even though I play it in a leeroy way.
4). my Usual Spellbook for Abyss:
Lvl 1-3 spells:
Lvl 4-6 spells:
Lvl 7-8 spells:
Lvl 9 spells:
Spell Instructions:
1. For the basic cleric spell instruction, you can refer to the spell choice part of this post: highergroundpoa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=openbuild&action=display&thread=13650
2. I just wanna mention 3 more spells beside those above. one is the use of Heartbane. in hell your main Target will be: Paragon-Spinagon, Amnizu(including their paragons), non-paragon Gelugons, non-paragon Cornugons, paragon nupperibo(ie. inchoate baatorians), Non-paragon Excruciarch, Falxugons(including their paragons). all the other mobs can be easily ploded or destructioned. use heartbane on the single target of a spawn even if it's plodable and use plode on a mutiple-targets of a spawn. this way u can save ur plode slots.
Another is Destruction. it's a death spell plus some huge divine damage. so obviously it's mainly used on those with implosion immunity while no death immune or with little divine damage immunity. then the targets are obvious: Advespas, non-paragon Ossyluth, Narzugons, Dogai, Pitfiend, Malebrache, Ichor of the Fallen, Brood Serpent and all hell bosses(except quimath, ancient battorian and the Tiamat Consorts).
another spell is aura vs. alignment( holy/unholy aura). i've seen lots of clerics in hell getting dazed/stunned and this should NEVER happen on a cleric. in hell use holy aura, in elysium use unholy aura. this is a lvl 8th spell btw. not the lvl 3th one.
3.a few things about Energy Drain:
Kocrachon canot be ploded/destructioned/heartbaned, simply use it for energy drain.
non-paragon Orthon can be Greater ruined or simply dominated. however paragon orthon is immune to dom and ruin. the only way an evil cleric can kill him is energy draining him to death. surely you can drain a non-paragon orthon to death as well.
Paragon Cornugons and Paragon Gelugons both immune to Critical Hits so heartbane does nothing to them. energy drain is the best way for an evil cleric to kill them. empowered (mass)inflict wound can damage the former as well, while destruction can damage the latter.
Paragon Ossyluth is immune to death/mind/plode/heartbane so energy drain will be perfect on them. if you memorized some mass(empower) inflict wound spells, it works as well.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Abyss Spell Instruction:
Essential Supporting Cleric Spells:
-Portection from Evil: Protect you from being turned by death knight, just as a note, don't accidentally use the Good version by mistake which is useless in Abyss.
-Magic Circle Versus. Evil: It's working the same as PFE, though it's an aura. keep your tanks around death knight within this aura if they don't have PFE.
-Clarity: when ppl get slept or berserk(you'll see the same visual effect as Wrack and it's mostly from Verekia in Gaping Maw)
-Remove Curse: to remove Maze effect(cast by mob like Aboleth, yuan-ti sorcerer etc.) and Curse effect( from Myrmyxicus)
-Remove Disease: the Disease from Ekolids and Fire from Balor
-Remove Blindness/Deafness: Remove the Blindess caused by Gadacro.
-Energy Immunity: with ESF:Abj, a 50% elemental imm is always your best friend to make u easier to cover elemental imm together with rings.
-Healing Circle: use extended healing circle, this can give u and the party some freakly high regen.
-Heal/Mass Heal: same use as in Hell, for fester. Also it has good use on undead in Thanatos, especially mass heal on Tomb Mote and Crypt Thing.
-Resurrection: When ppl get killed by Demilich's insta death ray or Disintegrate, they need a CL50+ Rez.
-Holy Aura: This is one of the best cleric cheap self buffs, imm to stun, daze. Just as a note, don't use the unholy aura by mistake in Abyss/Hell.
-Greater Restoration: Abyss is like hell, with the same penalty furthered with each area you match on. Cleric's #2 uber buff. GR restores Fear as well so it has great use in Shedakah and around Death Knights.
-Undead's Eternal Foe(UEF): I usually call this together with IOF as UFO for short(uber freaky object?), mainly because IOF takes a whole round to cast, I usually end with the last spell buffs followed by Epics to make faster to buff. UEF gives you completely immunity to the insta death ray from any demilich or Harthoon.
-Gate: This is the #1 uber cleric buff, just as a note, you need to be alert to keep reGating when it's gone, then you're invincible. Whenever you die in a battle, the first thing to do is to put urself in GS(unless you trigger your Eternal Return instead. then use Gate at priority.)
-Mass Greater Sanctury: It is a very effective anti-party wiper if you know how to use it well, also it makes quite some tactics against tough boss spawns.
Essential Offensive Cleric Spells:
-Silence: It can insta kill Lemorian Scream, you just need to cast one on urself and keep the scream within ur silence aura, then slack till it gets killed. Note, bard's Hear Me Roar will cancel your silence aura, and, always quickslot /tp "accountname" !cancel 163, and hit this when the scream is dead otherwise u'll get urself silenced.
-Heartbane: #1 Uber cleric offensive spells in Abyss. Actually 70% mob in abyss arenot Crit imm, even their paragons. And some of them need to lower parry(like Abyssal Drake) to HB. Abyss is basically a Heartbane Paradise. Rebuke is useless compared to Heartbane cuz 95% that can be rebuked can be heartbaned too.
-Blistering Radiance: Insta kill Nabassu.
-Banishment: There're quite a lot of stuff to banish on most abyss runs though they usually have crazy SR, the monsters that can be affected by banishment include: Dybbuk, Guecubu, Manitou, Xor-Yost and summoned Palrethee.
-Harm: Harm is very effective on a few mob like Adaru, Armanite, Vrock, Golothoma, Jarilith etc. though I usually don't bother with this spell cuz most of these mob can be insta'ed in some other ways.
-Undeath to Death: Note it can't insta the undead in abyss, instead it does huge divine damage. That also means, if the undead is imm to divine damage, it's imm to U2D as well.
-Destruction: It's pretty effective on quite some mob like dustman/yuanti/tiefling mob and some others, although most of them can be ploded as well. Not that an important considered most that can be death killed can be ploded. Broodswarm is an exception.
-Sunbeam: It works the same as Sunburst though it's better, cause this one actually insta kill all the Varrangoins including the arcanists. It also can insta kill Bodak.
-Mass Heal: for undead and Especially, Tomb mote, Crypt Thing and Bodak(can be insta'ed by Sunbeam though). Note on HG this is a Conjuration spell using DC for it to matter instead of touch check as it was in original nwn. So usually Druid should have a lot better DC than cleric due to their Conj foci.
-Implosion: #2 Uber Cleric Offensive Spell in abyss. Plode is still very effective though you really need to clearly know which mob to hit. Here is a list that can be ploded: Abrian, Arrowhawk, Mane, Rutterkin, Carcass Eater, Skulvyn, Armanite, Bar-Lgura, Bulezau, Jovoc, Uridezu, Verakia, Sporebat, Skeletal Rat, Fiendish Boar, Fiendish Frog, Fiendish Fungus, Fiendish Otyugh, all the Dustman, all the Yuan-ti, Abyssal Ghoul, Abyssal Zombie, all the fume-like mob(Abyssal Sunbeam, Blood Wind, Caustic Fountain and Living Holocaust).
-Energy Drain: Use it on Dybbuk, Guecubu, Manitou who has high will for banishing but low fort to ED, which helps to banish them after.
