You get the 9th skill when you take your first LL as bonus skills points.

Isn't gnome a better core race for this build. feats are a wash (assuming illusion), +2 con, FC: bard, small stature (not that you need AB or AC), and +1 sk/lvl
Isn't this better?

yes I would say gnome is better now with the changes that have been made to the base race. But I kept mine human for aestheticly pleasing aspects.
An all CHA bard should be hot, right? Gnomes arent hot.

I think this is by far the best Bard build in the forums, however I wonder if there a few tweaks to improve it. I think moving from human to gnome is a clear benefit for con and skill points.
I'm slightly confused on LSF enchant, does this increase the DC for mind fog by +1 or +3. The notes online aren't clear. Does the LSF enchant make a significant difference on sticking MF?
The difference between 60 and 62 CHA is minimal for most spells (I realize it drops my DC by 1). I think you could lose 2 CHA and LSF enchant to gain another epic foci and another epic spell.
Or keep LSF enchant, and drop 2 CHA to raise the other two schools to Leg focus. Does Leg Transmutation help anything?
Regarding the 4th school, Conj seems more useful than Nec. Healing spirit is 25 rez's or Gtr Restorations over 25 rounds(60cha). That seems more powerful than crit immune. Or is the range too small on healing spirit to be effective?
Also, Dirge (spell not epic) seems extremely powerful lowering phys resist by 40%. Which may equate to a phys dam increase of 60%+. This would require Evo focus for sufficient DC. Is the Evo epic spell not effective, it would be about 14k damage per mob over 20 rounds with save for half.
Also, does Winter is Coming (Div epic) have a DC or save? Is that DC affected by LSF Div? +17 or +25 spot/listen would be useful as well.

Unlike most bard builds and like other casters, DC is important for this build. I'm actually planning on getting another 4 charisma on reincarnation (charisma artifact and 2 less int + 2 less con) to max my DC. The LSFs are somewhat non-negotiable because of defense, maxing DC, and +14 GMW. Necromancy is extremely useful for tough fights, it keeps your party alive where someone would surely die.

Mish,
I guess I am missing something.
I am looking at your build and the spells you recommend and I dont understand your comment that DC is important for this build.
Can you please elaborate.
Thanks,
Aribeth

The spells listed are out of date, I also want to future proof my build with the new bard spells being added.

FYI, doing this with gnome gains you 2 cha. You can sacrifice 2 int because gnome gets +1 more skill/lvl. All other stats are equal. So now you could stick with full GTR cha feats and end up at 64 with arti, or sacrifice 4 feats, ending up at 60cha with an additional school focus at LSF lvl.
Food for thought.
Of course, 64 cha means an extra possum with 1x demi.

not exactly true - going gnome and dropping 2 int means you will be down 6 points versus the original build, since you arent getting the level one 4x multiplier. probably a minor cost though i would probably stick with human anyways - gnomes are just too ugly imo

Mish,
Your comment makes better sense.
Do you anticipate that the new bard spells will utilize a high DC?
Given that a bard can only cast level 6 spells maximum, the maximum DC on a caster bard will be 10 plus 6 (Spell Level) plus 8 (All Spell Foci) plus 30 (Max Shard Double Demi Artifact Charisma Stat) = 54
DC 54 is good but is it good enough with the new bard spells to substitute for an imploder, or wailer or drowner?

I highly doubt bards will be able to "substitute" any other class. All of the new spells planned for them are unique and will fill a niche rather than cover an entire other class.
For the DCs, I imagine that some spells will get a +DC based on perform or +DC based one spell focuses in that school.
Does anyone know where the thread is that posts the googledocs link with the bard spells? I've been searching but am unable to find it.

Scrolls are a big one: Greater Sanctuary, Black Blade of Disaster, Mind Blank..
Wands: Gust, Clarity
With enough UMD you can use Epic Warding from Dachy staves too and the Crit immune ring, but you'll probably need that ring slot for exotic / elemental immunes more than crit immune.
