I think Half-Eladrin is a very strong subby for this build. Huge stat increases, but missing feats. I don't think it's possible to keep ab and crit feats with HE as race, however it's an option.
I am planning a 19 RDD 18 Soc 3 Pal build, that will have full tensers and 9th lvl spells. I miss out on lvl 40 RDD bonuses, but it's still a strong build. MS is very useful for fights.
I'll be posting my build shortly.

If you want dev crit, the only subrace options are Radiance Genasi, Hound Archon or Salamander. For the 3/12/25 build, I think sala is better than HA if use 14 14 14 14 8 14 as base stats before racial mods. No 9th before demi is not that big of a loss, and the mobility feat that sala has will help when casting in battle. Radiance Genasi does have an advantage of an extra feat over HA and Sala, which is best used to pick up divine might. Rad Gen version would start out with 16 14 10 14 8 14, would have 120 less hps, 3 less ab, but would have 13 ( 15 as double demi ) divine might, and still spell option.
When I originally designed this build I did go 3 blackguard instead of 3 paladin so could use crit immune ring. But with the high ac and hps this build has, along with stockpiling a bunch of those accusing statues, the need for being able to use the ring was not there anymore.
About the 19/18/3 build, it is more of a caster than a tank. - fear aura is only -1 instead of -2 to all critters stuff - have 2 less ac - have 1 less feat, making dev crit not possiable to get. - have 4 less str, 2 less con and 2 less int - have 1 less hellball per day - the meteors may help with leveling, but with 7 attacks per round, your weapon will outdamage what your low dc meteors can do.

I have a 20/19/1 version of this guy (only a UR subby so hes a bit feat tight and his ab suffers from it) who is currently on Min. This is definately a more caster oriented version so take this with a grain of salt if the intention is to focus more on melee but...
I've found the MS to be invaluable. Sure, if there are 1 or two mobs in front of you the sword works wonders, but i find thatt 90% of the time we are fighting 5-10+ mobs simultaneously and the meteor's divine damage is indespensible. Some will make reflex saves from the inordinately low dc, but its really never been a problem. I'll see how it goes as i get deeper than Min. This may change.
I've also found myself meleeing MUCH less than expected adn thats not due to poor AB. I rest with a staff equipped for the extra spell slots and I much more often than not find myself casting the entire time til my next rest and never equipping my great sword. A few tia items might get me to scrap this habit out of convenience by adding more slots and the melee is always a fantastic fallback, but with my admittedly more caster oriented version i find that i dont melee much at all.

It all comes down to your play style. This build is a primary tank, secondary spellcaster, with exception on firebrand specific layers like Minauos, Stygia and Cania. You cant get meteors and go dev crit at the same time, and it would leave you with a worse AB, so such a build would be a primary spellcaster, secondary tank, as opposed to this one... As DB mentions, I find 7 attacks a round of solid bludge damage to easily outdamage meteors, especially in deeper layers when you see more divine resistant and spell resistant mobs. If I can put away AoC for some time soon, Id like to take this all the way to Nessus

Drunke, Thanks for you notes, I agree with everything you said. Essentially I need to decide is MS is worth giving up your list of bonuses. 19/18/3 vs 25/12/3 You can have dev +9th, but you sacrifice AB (original build has a spare feat). You can't max all 3.
I'm still deciding on race. I traded for Half-Eladrin, but Sal does look good, and puts me up two feats (Armor skin + human free feat). HE does let me hit a high CHA easily (+7 CHA), allowing for 9th lvl spells and better saves, but this may not be worth the cost in feats.
I am a bit confused. You mentioned no 9th before demi. Are you refering to 9th lvl spells or 9th lvl slots to use for maximized lower lvl spells? the 14 CHA of your original build limits this correct? 12 sorc should never have access to 9th lvl spells, right?
sorry still new to casters.

I thought i'd add to this and post a slight variation for this build with an odd (at first glance) subrace that works: Negatai
"Negatai" (secret Beyond UltraRare) - FC: Wizard - CON +2, INT +6, CHA +2, 25% immune negative, free feat: Still Spell, free feat: Autostill Spell I, free feat: Autostill Spell II
Starting stats would be:
Str: 16 -> 16 Dex: 14 -> 14 Con: 14 -> 16 Wis: 8 -> 8 Int: 10 -> 16 Cha 14 -> 16
Since this subrace does not give all the metamagic feats, I limited that down to just Empower (with still for free).
Also went with Blackguard instead of Paladin, for alignment flexibility to burn through Rona.
Pre-Epic Feats: SF: Evo GSF: Evo Power Attack Cleave Exotic Weapons Weapon Focus: Bastard Sword Empower Resist Fire
Epic Feats: Epic Toughness 1-8 Epic Weapon Focus Epic Prowess
Take Toughness 9 & 10 in LLs, since you can't benefit from them until 30 RDD anyway.
Other build notes follow zerragon's original post. Thanks for the idea!

Zerr for this build you mention going to the RDD Secret over a number of certain levels. Would my build suffer much if I reincarnated this guy and didnt heat over to the rdd secret till say lvl 50? or would the changes all be retro-active?

Cormil You would loose out on hp and skillpoints you would have gotten from increasing Con and Int earlier, those are not retroactive, so I definatly advice you to bother visiting the secret at listed intervals in order to maximize your character. Hint: For reincarnation, you can just go to the secret on one server, then continue leveling up and another and just switch back when you need to visit the secret.

I find it interesting that no one's mentioned Half-Guardinal. There's probably something major I'm forgetting, this is a complex build, so if this is so, please point it out.
The sum of STR and CHA bonuses is 2 better than Rad Gen, though you lose four feats. The plus side is many people don't like Half-Guardinal, so if you're short on BUR races you may find this one easier to acquire... and Evasion is nifty with those Paladin saves. A RDD BFM with Evasion? Do tell...
Save those crit feats and their prereqs, as you have to pick up some metamagic, and maybe go with LWF with what's left over. Sorry I'm running out the door right now so I can't take the time to crunch the numbers. What do you think?

I love Half-Guardinal for a general Pally-RDD tank, but I suspect the feats for this build are a bit too tight (see Drunkenboaster's post above).

There is no way to visit the secret pre-immo right? don't you mean to visit at 40, 45, 50, 55. You don't have access to the vibrating square until you are immo, correct? You should automatically gain these increases until you are immo right?
- These bonuses are gained automatically on levelup - the character will be asked to relog until they take effect. Once they reach character level 40, however, they will have to seek out a particular object in order to gain further stat bonuses. Once they find it, they will have to return every 5 levels to gain the next bonus.

Not only is there no need to visit the RDD secret pre-immo... its not possible. The Stop-n-Shop refuses entry to non-immortals.
Check your stats (pre-immo on an RDD) and you can confirm this. You have already recieved the stats for your RDD levels and will continue to receive them until 40. You can confirm this by checking your stats vs your starting stats + level up ability choices + rdd class bonus's.

A little update... I recently demied this build a while back, and am looking forward to playing it in deep hells again. The damage output has been nothing short of phenomenal, and now with the asmo shield my defense is finally up to par. Current AC is 1 higher than listed due to the silver nimbus ring never being taken off again since I got it 2 nights ago. (Click to enlarge)
