THE UNIVERSAL SOLDIER
I've named this the Universal Soldier since with the ability score bonuses from RDD, and the placement of ability score increases in dex instead of strength in legendary levels, this character can pass a lot of ability score checks in hells with its high str, dex, con, int, and cha. It also has excellent saves, high ac, and lots of hit points. It can use wizard/sorcerer scrolls without risk of umd failure with hell penalties, and can also use the critical immunity ring if needed.
I'll also discuss color selection and weapon selection later on. And provide my gear set up to show how I get everything maxed and immunities covered. Some of the older posts in this thread will contain outdated information.
I'll be posting several versions: salamander (BUR), dragonblooded (UR), and tinker gnome (open).
Recommended color: Black or Green
Recommended weapon: Upcoming weapon changes will make weapons smaller than the character size deal half of the str bonus damage. Greatsword and heavy flail should be good weapon choices. For hells, heavy flail is best for dealing with the abundance of pit fiends.
I'm considering changing the build to replace toughness, gstr I+II by a second weapon focus, epic focus, and legendary focus. This would reduce AB by 1, but having a focus in both a bludgeoning and a slashing weapon could be worth it.
