When I was first considering building a hells cleric, I was told by many people not to bother with it, as it was the most squishy class on the server and it would limbo all the time. I took this advice to heart until I saw a cleric using medium armor and had LSA tumble and his defense wasn't bad at all. After talking it over with him he PMed his build to me, and I adapted it to half celestial with a few modifications of my own.
However, there is one thing you need to keep in mind when building this, that is NEVER to flatfoot yourself. If you don't think you can develop techniques to prevent flatfoot, stick with a regular cleric, as the AC will be totally useless to you. If you can manage to train yourself, this build will be able make full use of prayer and battletide without dying instantly, tanking even bosses while casting offensive spells at them or healing your party.
