Click here for a better version (especially if you are a new player). This post/thread is outdated.
Drakenzwaard is dutch for Dragonsword.
The subrace I chose for this one was:Because of the +6 lore, allowing the combination of RDD and BG, and mostly because it's a non-secret subrace (meaning even new players can do this build .
Race: Gnome
Subrace: Tinker Gnome
Alignment: Nonlawful evil
Leveling progression: 1 bard / 10 RDD / 1 bard / 7 BG / 1 bard / 30 RDD
Ability scores:
starting / with subrace / final / buffed
Str 16 / 16 / 56 / 68
Dex 14 / 14 / 14 / 26
Con 14 / 14 / 22 / 34
Int 8 / 10 / 16 / 28
Wis 8 / 6 / 6 / 18
Cha 12 / 12 / 16 / 28
Feats (roughly in order):
Luck of heroes, Power attack, Cleave, Great cleave, Blind fight, Weapon focus, Improved critical.
Epic toughness I-X, Epic weapon focus, Epic prowess.
Legendary weapon focus, Armor skin, Legendary luck, Overwhelming critical, Devastating critical, Great strength I-II.
Skills:
At level 1, put 2 points in Lore. THIS IS VITAL!!!
At level 12, you will have to put 5 points in Hide, in order to "unlock" Blackguard.
At level 20, put 23 points in Tumble and UMD.
At level 21 and up, maximize Discipline and Parry whenever possible.
At levels 41 and up, raise Craft Armor and either Craft Weapn or Listen (gnome will give you +2 skillpoints per level).
At levels 43-57, raise Tumble as well, whenever possible.
Final skillpoint investments (total base rank):
Lore 2 (8)
Hide 5 (5)
UMD 23 (23)
Tumble 37 (30)
Discipline 63 (63)
Parry 63 (63)
Craft Weapon / Listen 63 (63)
Craft Armor 63 (63)
This will leave you with a lot of spare points. Use them according to your preference. If you take Listen, you can for example go for Craft Weapon (resulting in an additional +1 bonus to AB with song), which is probably what I'd do.
Here's a screenie of this character at level 60:
note that this is without maxed craft skills: it was made before the gnome skillpoint changes.
