Can't believe how much damage this lazy fat dragon did - honestly it sits on it's idle backside throwing brands and stealing kills whilst we all toil up the front getting our skinny backsides whooped. What a bum Gotta say nice build though Cata and t'was a fun run indeed Kratlin

Made this build up with a couple of mods: Spell Pen book -> LL Spell Pen Expertise -> Imp Expertise Cha I -> Cha II Rapier Wit Dropped STR down 2 at startup to 8 Dropped Wis down 2 at startup to 8 Raised Dex up 2 at startup for 12 Saves are still over 72 on each Threw on a rapier with an arcane shield and can run 132 ac in imp expertise and tear it up with a Rapier, reaches 98 ab. Ton of fun with spells and melee now. More :(firepower

Seems pretty cool running around with much more health and resistance than a regular BFM caster Any tips for playing with it? Is tumble being used primarily for checks like Toyshop's ones? Could a more lazy person use Automatic combat casting instead of LSA: Tumble? (it mixes well with the aura when you think about it) Would you recommend "Gate and Meteor as level IX spells, since you got Conjuration?

Combat casting instead of lsa tumble is certainly an option. As for Gate iirc it only works if non quasi class? And yes Meredith is a good choice for level 9.
As for playing tips make use of the orb spells. Runing round branding everything in site is a waste of time. Sure use brands on groups if u got the immunes to handle kb but fir single target mobs u want orbs. And don't forget to FW ya tanks, u give 1 die more than regular casters

Well, I swapped luck/legendary luck for combat casting/improved combat casting in order to be more relaxed, like i said I would. 70+ saves is enough for me Reggarding Conjuration, it seems to me it's useful for +CL on summons (including epic), so I'll kept it. Well this update came after this build was created, right? What about skill selection? Your build has more than enough for 5 6 skills, I would use: Concentration 63 Disciple 63 Lore 63 Parry 63 Tumble 63 - (due armor penalty, might be good) Craft armor 60 (leftovers, if RD is taken as early as possible, you get +2 int at RDD 9 and at 20) Persuade 63 Persuade might be a very good option as well, and it is a xDD skill.By the way what is the purpose of spellcraft? (I always tought the classical 50 was just because of Greater Ruin, and maybe counterspells) By the way it's possible to fit 2 Great cha feats, if you discard Conjuration line.

Build was done long time before the update for Summon, although the useless Conj Epic now becomes useful though , which is kewl.
Since you can't get G.Ruins on this build due to lack of Sorc Levels Spellcraft is a waste so Persuade is prolly a much better option if ya getting close enough to mobs to use it.
As for the 2 Great CHA Feats, if you don't wanna bother with Summons then sure I'd drop the Conj and go for the extra Great CHA.

Truth is, GSF conj might be enough to help with summon efreet (as you have CL 59, but can use summon VIII - i.e. summon effective level = 59 +2/feat +8/spell -12/modifier +0..4/randon = 57-61). With the two Cha + Draconic Aura -2 one reaches the regular caster DC (minus channel). Given the good amount of optional feats at low level this idea works well for open subby characters. Shame it isn't optimal for leveling. :/

Most quasi's aren't that great for levelling, at least till you hey quasi status. Ever tried levelling a Pariah before quasi quasi status? ;p

Here's my current spell selection ith this build, any ideas how to improve it?
Level 1 Burning Hands Negative Energy Ray (does divine damage) Summon Creature I Protection from Allignment Free 1 - Mage armor?
Level 2 Combust Flame Weapon Vocalize Darkness Summon Creature II - Or something else keep in mind CL 19
Level 3 Flame Arrow (does all damage in one hit) Fireball (does (3/4 caster level)d6; 2/3 fire and 1/3 positive) Clarity - adds utility Gust - less usful since the update increased jump DC to BFM+con mod.
Level 4 Elemental Shield Orb of Fire Orb of Force Stoneskin
Level 5 Firebrand Energy Buffer
Summon Creature V Mestil Acid Shealth for 2 minutes :/ Interposing hand - Maybe. if there are 0 SR bosses/mini bosses :/
Level 6 Tenser's Transformation
Summon Creature VI Legend Lore
Great Dispell Stone to Flesh
Level 7 Delayed Blast Fireball Greater Orb of fire Great Orb of Force
Level 8 Incendiary Cloud Summon Creature VIII Mind blank

For Spell Lvl 6 I took Tensers, Legend Lore and Stone to Flesh, I'd def drop Summon Creature for StF, the summon is a waste imo and StF is much more useful overall. For Level 5 Hands are gunna do you no good at all if going RDD CC you haven't the Sorc Levels to land em, least I don't think you do. I took Acid Sheath, it's at least usefull for Screeling killin in Desert when soloing for Runes lol For level 3 I took Discplacement, isn't much use to be honest since duration is short, and I don't see your Gust DC being much use either since again not a BFM Spell. (If you took it just to clear clouds, you are RDD CC so you can jump At level 2 I'm not sure why you'd want Darkness, only run it is useful is Elysium and a Dexer with a Dex Arti can cover that quite easily. For level 1 I took Shield instead of Mage Armour. Couldn't say which is better. With regards to your summon creature spells if you can find a use for literally any other spell in the list I'd take that,t hey really aren't going to be of much use to you. As an RDD CC if it aint a BFM Spell it is useless to you. Cata
