Now that we've sorted out item property frequencies to an extent, it's time to turn to augment/augmenter frequencies. Please let us know which augmenters and/or augments you are seeing too many of, and which too few. Please be sure to indicate whether you mean augmenter, or the the augment that an augmenter can apply, as not all augments are available in augmenter form.
Thanks in advance!

Do you want all details of the augment or will the name suffice?

Just the name is plenty, thanks.

I feel like I see Frog/Worm/Buzzard/Lizard significantly more often than anything else.
Also is the drop chance on augmenters equal to the chance for them to be randomized onto an item? That might be phrased poorly but I think you get the idea. (Discounting the fact that BUR/Master augments don't drop, but even if they did, their chance would be so low that the distributions would come out nearly the same as they are now.

I see augmenter of the Frog the most. Now granted thats also with me logging in maybe once a week for about two hours max.... and usually finding them in desert......
So I dont know if thats considered often enough.... I have come across 4 frog augmenters.

Yes, basically, they each have a set weight which gets added to the pool of all available augs, and the same weight/pool is used for both, though different restrictions control what is 'available' in a given pool, including whether it's an augmenter or an augment applied directly to an item, item type, other augs on the item, etc. Funky

A bit tangential, but I'm curious what kind of restrictions are in place? The latest hotpatch indicates that you're taking measures to enact 'logical' restrictions (eg: the monk and aa aug changes), but are there any active in terms of game balance? Could a BUR be randomized with both a BUR prefix and BUR suffix, say? Or is there a check to see if "This item is a BUR. One BUR augment is enough." or anything like that?

It has become a running joke on my hell runs that we always find an augmentor of the turtle in augment form, also the augmentor of the troll, the monk and the templar.

A troll, a monk and a templar walk into a bar in Dis ....
Buzzard, Hawk, Troll, Turtle ... this group seem overly common to me. Also Bellicose, Ooze, Packrat, Newt, Gopher ...
For some reason the Uncommon +4/+4/+4 seem to be quite rare (Craftsman's, Crusader's, Magician's, Minstrel's, Overlord's, Pathfinder's, Rebel's, Tactician's, Usurper's, etc). I have seen most of these Augmenters once or twice, but the augments seem more prevalent.

Run this evening saw a Staff of Kyon drop with Weapon FOcus Katar added to it or something like that. Point being a weapon related items on a Staff doesn't work out really.

I have noticed a lot of merchant's augments, I have found atleast three in augment form and have a number of items with the actual augment. I would have to agree with trazik as well, the +4/4/4 augmenters don't seem as common as other UC augmenters, such as the +4/4 and skill bonus ones

The entire line of augmenters Frog/buzzard/worm, seem to appear quite often and have limited usefulness.

MC, it's documented in many places, but only R and under drop as augmenters. A set UR drops in Ely, and bur and master augs are only found already applied to items. Augs of all levels may be awarded as DM prizes based on events or other very special occasions.
