A Tracker is an adept in the arts of the hunt, able to pursue targets with speed and cunning. A true Tracker must invest great time and effort into honing their tracking abilities in order to attain their true potential. Wise and enigmatic, the master tracker is capable of locating his quarry from reaches so far as to be argued supernatural.
------------------------------------------
This quasiclass is centered around a single ability, which is tracking. As such, the primary required class will be ranger, followed by a second tier class. I was thinking one of the following classes:
SD: A true hunter is never seen by their prey.
Monk: Supernatural speed and discipline to maintain the hunt.
Rogue: A hunter relies on making a swift and deadly unexpected attack.
As to the breakdown, I was thinking 15 Tier 2/10 Tier 1 (10 Ranger/15 Secondary class) before level 25, along with a number of secondary prerequisites (all of which may or may not be present for the final build, just possibilities):
Feats:
Alertness- A tracker invests much time training their senses
Stealthy- Would coincide with the SD/Rogue Secondary class
Skills:
20 ranks Spot/Listen/Hide/Move Silently by level 25
Abilities:
Able to cast 4th level Ranger Spells (Wisdom 14)
Now the real feature of this build, the tracking. Once they become a tracker at L25, they are given a special vial that contains a liquid that trackers use to heighten their senses and more easily pick out the nearest target. This special Scent Vial can be used to track the nearest enemy, providing bonuses that scale up from 25. The initial ability will only graphically point the way, but as the tracker gains more experience they will acquire skills to make the outcome of the hunt more favorable to them.
