Maybe give the sword chat for when it scores a critical? "That's the spirit, no rest til Limbo!" Oh god, can we please have a Lilarcor sword as in Baldurs Gate? That would be the most awesome thing ever. "You know, my last owner always said I was sharp and edgy. Heheh. He was such an ass."

How about a pair of boots that would prevent Drocs in the desert from picking you up?

SECONDED (except it would get annoying, so seconding retracted) (maybe an unenchanted one so one could play around with it but would never use it on an actual run) Lead BootsThese heavy boots, while preventing some special abilities, are, well, extremely heavy.-10 Dodge AC Immune to KD Weighs 200lbs

Looter's Lucky Locket
Once again called upon to use his Asmodues Amulet to help friends who had snuck off to adventure without him, Cappan one the most famous of rogues became angered by the request. Throwing down his precious amulet on the ground, he smashed it with an ugly horn that some careless bard had "dropped". A massive explosion followed, and after wiping away the soot from his eyes that covered him from head to toe, he discovered an amulet in the dust of the once mighty artifacts. Suprised at the fortune of finding anything at all, he promptly placed around his neck. Base Item : Amulet Special Abilities Armor Bonus +16 ( natural modifyer ) Damage Resistance 15/- Slashing Damage Resistance 15/- Piercing Damage Resistance 15/- Bludgeoning Save Bonus +6 Bonus Feat: Shield Proficiancy Skill Bonus: Hide + 10 Skill Bonus: Search + 10 Skill Bonus: Appraise + 10 Skill Bonus: Parry + 10 Skill Bonus: Listen + 10 Skill Bonus: Bluff +10
Special Ability: Treasure Scent 2 charges/use Charges 21 Class Restricted : Rogue with 21 or more levels
The Treasure Scent spell uses casters appraise skill instead of lore, but otherwise works the same as the bard spell.

Id love to see an item that gives an extra use/s of monk empty body OR doubles/*1.5 the duration of each use. I know it comes with the territory but relying on casters for disp or camo sucks, and i always end up regretting it if i dont save empty bodies for bad spawns.
Ring of the chameleon The great forest monk Ajahn Chah forged these rings for his monastery in hopes that by becoming one with the forest he would reach enlightenment faster and avoid the many biting insects and hungry animals that so frequently disturbed his meditations.
I was thinking that among other things it could maybe increase the duration of empty body and give 1 or 2 casts of ranger camouflage spell... it would also require monk.

Still needing items, uh? Ok, here go some more items for your consideration.
Shield of the Infernal Explorer
Exploring the infernal regions is a dangerous business, with danger hidden in every nooky and cranny. This shield is meant to give the intrepid explorer protection against the envoromental dangers of the infernal regions.
Unhappily for its unlucky possessor, its protection was not enough to save him from Gehena's teeming hordes.
Medium Shield Arcane Spell Failure: -15% Armor Bonus: +14 (AC Shield modifier) Damage Resistence: Acid Resist 20/- Damage Resistence: Cold Resist 20/- Damage Resistence: Eletricity Resist 20/- Damage Resistence: Fire Resist 20/- Damage Resistence: Sonic Resist 20/- Immunity: Death Magic Immunity: Fear Immunity: Level Drain Immunity: Poison
Rampart of the Immutable Defender
This shield was meant to keep defenders at breaches in walls at peak efficiency, keeping at bay or countering the many effects that diminish their powers and defenses.
Of course, while the defenders can't be forced to leave their posts, they can still be beaten down, as the somewhat battered state of this shield demonstrates.
Large Shield
Armor Bonus: +14 (AC Shield modifier) The restoration spell cast by this shield is used as a swift action.
Damage Immunity: Fire 25% Immunity bonus Immunity: Death Magic Immunity: Disease Immunity: Fear Immunity: Level Drain Immunity: Paralysis Immunity: Poison Use: Restoration (7) 5 Uses/day
Take care Kaezar

I know confusion immunity is quite valuable, but I looked at some other items with the property, and the difficulty in acquiring them, and tried to judge the stats on this item with those in mind.
Bracers of The Clear Mind It can be hard to maintain sanity in the heat of battle on the front lines. These bracers, designed with that in mind, provide little in the way of physical protection, but instead protect the wearer from mental incapacitation
Requires the Alertness Feat to Equip Requires 20 Base Ranks of Concentration to Equip
Wisdom + 12 Immunity: Confusion Immunity: Fear Tumble + 15 Listen + 5
These bracers are slightly better than the illithid helm, as they are harder to acquire. They are not however as good as the Heavenly Haunts (more skills, 2 stats, extra immunities), or the Aboleths Helm (2 stats, + 40 craft weapon). The feat would make these slightly more expensive to wear, and would also require planning to use.
-EDIT- removed the 5% phys, they wouldn't fit with the idea behind item - Also, the lack of any ac at all is intentional.
If that is too powerful, perhaps remove the confusion immunity and the requirements for use.. something like
Armour Bonus: + 16 (Deflection Modifier) 10% Physical Immunity + 12 Wisdom Immunity: Fear + 5 Listen + 15 Tumble
There aren't many gauntlets I could find with wisdom, fear is always nice to cover, and the tumble and listen are just little bonuses, anyway just a thought.

L1-5 spellslots x5 L6 spellslots x3 Appropriate casting stat -1 DC of L1-3 spells increased by 1
I'm annoyed at the lack of lower level spellslots. These items would fill that gap a bit, at the cost of lowering your DC for spells of L4 and above.

I would like to see a boss-tagged item for rogues (bracers presumably) that has no properties except: - open lock +50 - search +50 - disable trap +50 - rogues and assassins only - 30 levels in said class (?) to equip
It can bind on first use, if needed.
The purpose would be to take the place of the light armour, amulet, gloves, ring and belt that currently need to be collected by LL rogues for "end game" play.
Actually, it might be better if this item was a secret drop in hell (asmo tag?), abos or ely, come to think of it.

The class specific secret items were a very cool idea that has really fallen by the wayside for everyone except Harper Boots and Ranger Writs from what I can tell. An upgrade point would keep the secret item idea in the game, and also require people to explore enough to find the things at lower levels also. Actually, they were a fallback because I couldn't think of abilities to give them. Class items are the last resort, though upgrades to existing class items are slated. Funky

Thoughts Main point is energy resistance and immunities listed . The Item would be perfect for a sorcerer since there is no class set or caster gear that fills the gloves slot as far im aware. Depending if Bur Ur or High lvl set the armor class could be raised or the resistance increased more immunities / skills added my 2 c & xmas wish miraborg PS :

These consumables would come in stacks of one or two, and would be meant to be carried by party members in all layers, so that if the bard limboes, drops or gets amnesiad the party isn't completely toasted.
Guardian Of Fate A throwable grenade that does level 40 curse song in the normal curse song radius. Can be used by anyone.
Murdertrain a Comin' A potion that makes the party immune to KD for 3 rounds. Anyone who was knocked down stands up.
