Just ran my updater for the first time, and i was dreading the 2+hr wait, yet it only took me about 45 min to update HGE and CEP. Just an FYI.

Can't remember how long it took the first time as it crashed (out of space error message despite plenty of HD left) after around an hour. The positive thing is though that the games still worked (a few cloaks looked shiny) and the next update started where the last broken one left off. Seems to have some nice in build crash handling

Lots of really good content. Took about 20 mins 1st time I ran and 5 mins 2nd time. Been running about every 2 weeks. LOVE the new weapon and creature models. Love the new VFX for wings. I also really dig the TON of new invisibles and 'tails' for creation of scalable creatures. I'm sure there's more but thats all I've messed with so far. And I'm glad the CEP team has started adding prefixes to things like the appearances. Helps keep things organized. Very good idea! And while I'm just updating my CEP 2.2 install, I'm also seeing a few new files I didn't see before. Looks like new rules file and maybe some more tiles. I'm beside myself with anticipation to see what the new hak file stack makes available in the editor. ;D

My updater puked when it hit a line after no changes made to hak/cep_patch_v22b.hak recovering previous update file 'hak/cep_patch_v22c.hak.update' [.\erf.c:708 win32] out of memory
any ideas on how I can get around that for the updater or am I stuck doing the big download?

Look for all '.update' files in your hak folder and delete them. The updater should be able to run then.

I'd highly recommend doing this as soon as possible I ran it about 2 weeks ago and it took quite some time, I just ran it again and there was definitely a good chunk of content added since I last ran it. I'd hate for someone to miss all the tasty Abyss runs going on the first 3-4hrs because they didn't update CEP -Stryker

On one comp the HGE Updater worked fine for CEP and in the end gave me a prompt to close the DOS window once it was done, which is the only reason I suspect it did NOT work on a second comp where the HGE Updater shut down suddenly and did so, so fast I cannot even tell you what it was last working on.
Is there a way to recall where HGE Updater last left off so I can see if I got a similar message to Halo?
