could the critical hit properties of these be increased? I examined one and it had a miserable 20/x2. compare that with other large martial weaponry... I say give em 19-20/x3 just like the rest.
or is my HGenhanced outdated?

Hi, am quite new to this forum so forgive me if this has been asked before.
Is there any possibility of adding one handed tridents to the mod ? (ie. also a change in size to medium )
Reason asking is for those that remember the film Spartacus where Kirk Douglas has the fight in that small arena with another gladiator who wields a trident in one hand and a net in the other.
Adds a cool look to daemon-ish type character who can then wield a up to a medium shield and a trident in his/her right hand. Suitable for a winged character look perhaps some subclass's too.

IIRC Trident's and Spears are the only large weapons that can be dual wielded by large characters.

Not asking for dual wielding and not for large character either.

I only mean that it is a benefit over the other large weapons and a reason that they might should stay more as they are.

I only mean that it is a benefit over the other large weapons and a reason that they might should stay more as they are. Not if you can dual wield two small weapons and get *exactly* the same, if not better, bonus. The point of using large weapons was that they had more damage output. Even dual wielding tridents, your damage output would significantly decrease due to the critical multiplier/range

Not to mention that triffling detail: in real life both trident and spear are one handed weapons, never mind the size.
Take care Kaezar

This thread reminds me of trident layers and how I cant find them in Brazil!! Anyway, not sure on RL as I never used a spear or trident myself (lol) but on games they are always 2 handed, unless you are mounted. You hold them with one hand, but during attack it requires both hands to do the job. This is obviously coming from my experience on playing Jrpgs and other stuff which is just a little bit different from D&D.

Take care Kaezar Then there is hope for a one handed trident, plus have seen it scripted elsewhere that a one handed trident can only be used with a shield. Personally I am not into max'ing damage, I like to try the unusual or sometimes the difficult. Like a halfling using a rapier as a greatsword or a paladin using an assassins dagger and a sling for ranged. Sapphire

Really this only makes them as is viable for Medium toons, Barbarians, and Large STR dual wielders. I do think they need some improvements but lets not forget to way the benefits of current features they have and how other changes, current and future, will impact them.

with the 1/2 str mod to weapons smaller than you wont that hurt every dex dual wielders already horrible str mod ? i mean the only light weapon that is not small is the rapier and that is getting a crit multiplier decrease according to that sheet Also those changes would decreases the damage from str dual wielding wemics being that thier weapons will be medium on a large char no ?
though i guess the updates will make for some interesting strength two handed builds.

I don't think DEX toons rely very much on their physical damage so no where as a STR based who intends to do heavy damage will do significantly less.
