Acaos,
Archmage 55 suggested that I ask for your help.
I am new. Using 4 monk/6 fighter/30 assassin Minja build.
During one of the runs found out I needed to change the weapon focus from club to daggar. Bin so Bad and Ayla were helping me. Ayla suggested to use !charedit - we tried - no luck. Illogicallous came and after releveling still could not change the weapon focus - bottom line: suggested to reincarnate after level 21. (Many thanks to them for all their help)
Situation: Character: z ki code: rox ashe1 - the only character I was playing. Reached level 24 - tried to reincarnate on server 311 around 12:00 am Arizona time.
1. First I went to the Rowan Guardian and asked to delete the toon. 2. Created a first level character to use in the for reincarnation: z Killer Brownie. 3. Went to the light thingy for reincarnation. Result - no reincarnation slot.
What did I do wrong? Did I do this backwards? Can I get the reincarnation slot to relevel or get the character back to try again? What can I do?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Enshantara

To reincarnate you don't delete you character the usual way (rowan or !delete), but speak to the light and the light will store the xp and control class of the character you are reincarnating then delete that character. You would then create a new character and speak to the light to regain your xp.
What you seem to have done is just permanently delete your character by talking to the rowan guardian. I suspect the DMs may be able to recover it from a recent backup if the character existed last time a backup was made (think i've read this situation has happened to a few people before).
Perhaps where you got confused was with information about redoing a character? When you reincarnate a character (by speaking to the light) and have created a new character, then spoken to the light a second time to regain your xp, you have a week to delete the reincarnation (via !delete or rowan) and 'redo' it by making a new character and speaking to the light again (losing any xp and tags gained since you started the reincarnation process, as you are 'redoing' that original reincarnation, not reincarnating the reincarnation).
Perhaps a conversation could/should be added to !delete and the rowan guardian saying something like "THIS ACTION WILL DELETE YOUR CHARACTER PERMANENTLY! IF YOU WISH TO REINCARNATE YOUR CHARACTER SPEAK TO THE LIGHT IN THE DOCKS INSTEAD... > No i really want to delete my character permanently > Oh, whoops, i don't want to delete my character.

EDIT: Doh! Bort replied at the same time, and hit "Submit" before me. /Edit Yes, you did this backwards. You do not delete the character before reincarnation; rather, you take it to the light, speak to it, and say "I wish to reincarnate". At that point, your character is deleted, your are booted, and you can bring a level 1 toon (you can use the one you already created) to the light again, and say "I wish to use a reincarnation slot". Acaos will have to give you that slot back, but I wanted to let you know for future reference.
