This build is a derivitive of both the Weapon of Templar and Tymora's Man at Arms - all wm/pal/fighter. Unlike the man-at-arms, however, it only has one weapon focus and uses all 30 wm levels to max ab a bit more and retain a bit more defense with the big crits. It gives up a bit of flexibility for this. It's a large race and updated scythe version of the Weapon of Templar.
You Reap What You Sow
The intention of this build was to create a high AB scythe wielder with decent defense for huge crits and pierce/slash damage. In order to use a shield and a scythe, I needed a large race. WM got me the best crits turning a scythe into a 16-20/x6 Maxing AB requires 30WM. 2 Pal levels for saves, fear immune, and disease immune. All tier 1 ab classes for max BAB.
Pre-demi his AC is borderline and you need to engage expertise on nasty fights, but after demi's his AC boost from asmor armor and a bit more dex in light armor should do the trick.
He's also an almost uni-tank with 68/38 str/dex for kd checks.
He's got 4 base attacks + haste + whatever else you can squeeze out of boots or Divine power gear. Starting at 108ab that means your first 3 attacks are 98+ab and should hit just about anywhere, and your last 2-3 attacks will connect alot.. Max listen helps here also.
No special unresistable damage like a barb or a CoT/pal though so that hurts his damage output, but hopefully the huge crits make up for it.
Here goes.
Final build in +14 gear:AB 111, 114 with double demi str arti (109 if expertise is on, 104 if imp power attack is on)
AC 129 pre demi w/no girding, and 139 with, girding, 2xdemi and asmo gear. Turn on expertise and you bump to 144

16pts left i dumped them into CA to help get the extra AC point with gear/song
Tome: n/a
Pandect: Disarm
ARti: str (if you have one... if you dont its just 1 pt of ab and a bit of str check - hard to justify using a str arti on a non-dc toon considering the difficulty of the artifact.) Any arti will do really (except int arti as you loose pally saves)
Note, dropping down a size and double handing the scythe gives you a 1.5 multiplier on the phys damage... that can be a huge bonus in your crits, however I couldnt get a str WM to get much more than about 115ish AC this way. The other consideration was using merc greatsword on the wemic for super duper x8 crits when it was implemented, however the AC just seemed disasterous.
Currently mid LL's. He does great damage and watching the big crits is great. He is, however, very squishy right now and I expect it to remain that way til demi. Luckily, his AB is high enough that expertise is an option.
Brutal throw gives you a ranged option at nearly 100ab. WoC: Merc gives you a 107ab merc g-sword option. This will allow you to take that 28str mod and give it a 150% boost and a x8 multiplier (and sneak in imp power attack for +10). Yipes!
