... This of course probably doesn't bother most people but it bothers me a lot as, IMHO, a fist monks #1 job is to dispatch Pit Fiends-(and all other crit immune mobs)-quickly. .02 KE. this always makes me chuckle... I was not aware that within the hidden Codex of Monks, there is written that once a monk has reached the age of enlightenment (IE level 60) he is to set out to dispatch "Pit Fiends-(and all other crit immune mobs)" and that is all... too funny, because my monks seem to like the fact that they can dispatch just about any mob, wither it be crit immune or not. A tank is a tank.. it's job is to protect the squishy party members, and kill a few baddies while you are at it. AND, I find gloves to be inferior to monk weapons anyway. I would much rather have a 16-20 x 4 crit range AND 2 more attacks (in some cases) versus 18-20 x 3 crits you get from gloves. Sometimes there are no crit immune mobs, and some critable mobs need to go away fast...

Like I said "In My Opinion".......feel free to crit away on those dangerous Lemures and other trash mobs that, once again IMO" can be insta'd, stoned, etc by the non tanks... I'll be concentrating on the crit immune mobs like PF's & Males...
Guess we just play differently, KE.

i didn't say a monk should not attack pfs... hardly. I attack them with relish, I just find it silly to pigeonhole a monk to one specific type of mob. Just as uni tanks are very viable in hell (and I hate to argue with you, but my monk is 2 tags away from the boss in abyss and very rarely has her 40 dex been a huge issue.... even with all the balors on Gaping Maw 3) they are also very viable with both crit immune and trash mobs. For a small cost of dev crit (and if you are greedy like me a wm splash) etc, you can demolish the trash mobs when no greater enemies are present.
