Again you are very informative ... What is the point in setting up a forum for people to ask questions if you don't answer them ? Try a simple a answer like "I won't fix it because I am a lazy bastard" or "I have already a ton of things on my "to do" list to allow you, greedy non-paying players, to enjoy a game while I have my own life" these are all reasons we could understand. In my first post in this thread I was asking WHY you did shaft emp/dom in the first place. It doesn't make ANY sense in itself although I am certain you do have a very good reason to do so. Feel free to enlighten us because such a nerf on a major class skill and item ability should be at least commented if only, out of consideration for the players.

Puuhleese! Could your tone and comments be any less respectful? Why not just take his comments for what they are. You already asked and didn't get the answer you are looking for. Do you think trolling is going to exhibit the response from Funky that you are looking for? Funky answers tons of questions and listens to and reacts to many of the suggestions and comments here much faster than most software companies support teams that get large support contract money from its users. I have 2 legendary Druids and am affected by this quite a bit but I have faith in the Funkmeister that if this was needed he did so after careful consideration. If compelling arguments or solutions are offered he will assurdley put it back in. 'Fang

He answered your question succinctly because he already answered it elsewhere. My recollection is some people were using dominate to take higher level things from one area into another where they totally cleaned up. While it was interesting, it was overpowered and probably had to go. There may be other reasons as well (e.g. "hey, let's dom a heartseeker and drag it back to town and release it in sages on that n00b immo party. Yuk, yuk"). It's unfortunate that some of the legitimate things got removed as well. I liked Dodrudon's suggestion (creatures move as they used to unless the target zone is no-PvP where it does the new behavior). Yes, when making suggestions I sometimes feel like the American Idol people getting ready for comments from Simon. But the server is amazingly successful -- I always try to keep that in mind when some change I don't agree with happens or one of my suggestions is shot down. I don't have the whole picture, I haven't written tens of thousands of lines of NWN scripting, and I certainly don't have a track record of taking a single NWN server to 6 thriving servers with over a thousand happy players (I'm talking the whole DM team). He also seems to live somewhere that has 44 hours in each day. ;D

He answered your question succinctly because he already answered it elsewhere. Bingo! *ding ding ding* I 'll pretty much answer a question once, and once only, because repeating yourself gets reaaaaal old after a while. And while the offensive implications in your question didn't really bother me, the fact that you couldn't be bothered to look for an answer first indicated to me that you were more interested in trolling than in an answer. And I think if you check your post, I actually DID answer the question you asked. The other question in your little rant was conditioned on a positive response to your fairly rediculous question: "if that is so,". Don't blame me for your poor choice of questions, or your crappy attitude. Thanks. Funky

You may have noticed that the phrase funky probably says most (apart from his sig, xD), is that he doesn't like repeating himself... xD.
I think we all feel the lack of domming transfers, but I can say there are quite a few occasions were I have used high level creatures to powerlevel, an acivity which I disagree with immensly, now anway, xD.
xD.
