Is it possible to limit the bandwidth available to either specific shared folders or to all shared folders on a windows 7 pc?
A problem I discovered today is that my 10mbps LAN connection is maxed out on things being copied from a shared folder... leaving insufficient bandwidth to run anything else, such as NWN or Firefox.

I run a firewall and block everything except NWN when I'm playing.

I want the sharing to work, I just want it to leave ~20% of the toal connection for other stuff... Yet another windows short sightedness.. imho.

Maybe turn QoS on...? I have no idea how it functions, but maybe.
