Hey guys, I can't seem to log in to the HG servers at all? I'm using desktop shortcuts (i.e. nwmain.exe +connect 174.129.216.110:5121).
I get "Server found. Attempting to log in" almost indefinitely before seeing "Connection error: Server is not responding (timed out)"
Any ideas on what I can do to remedy this? My pings to the server seem pretty good when I try looking from gamespy... but I can't connect from there either.
Haven't changed anything my end since I last logged in, other than moving house and finally getting a half decent internet connection!
Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers

PM me your ip and I'll ping you from the servers (can't ping from your end because of Amazon's protection).

I get "Server found. Attempting to log in" almost indefinitely before seeing "Connection error: Server is not responding (timed out)" When this happens to me, a simple restart of the pc helped.

Anyone able to offer some advice please? I was hoping this would have resolved itself by now Still unable to connect to the HG servers, and getting 100% packetloss at the 15th or 16th hop when doing a tracert. Unfortunately I don't really know what to do with that information... should I contact amazon? my isp? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Have you tried logging into other nwn servers? The more you narrow down the issue, the more likely someone will be able to help. The fact that you get good pings from Gamespy leads me to think you have some issue on your computer preventing connection.

Ah, hadn't thought of trying that.. I get good pings from gamespy, but don't seem to be able to log into any other servers either. My firewall is set to allow all traffic from neverwinter nights, so that shouldn't be the problem. Windows firewall is disabled, so shouldn't be a conflict there.
The main change recently has been moving house and using a different router, so perhaps something router related?? Would I need to add an exception with the router for neverwinter nights or something like that? Don't remember having to do that before..

Some routers require that, yes, and that's almost certainly your problem, if your router has changed since the last time you were able to log in.

I recently had an issue that sounds similar to what you have described. I was able to resolve it after changing my client port to a bigger number. You can find this in your nwnplayer.ini under [Profile] --> Client Port=xxxx
I changed mine to 5128 and was able to successfully log on afterward. Hope that works for ya.
