On skype the other night HJ and I were reminiscing about Diablo and wondered if the concept of an undead charmer with an army of minions that they could raise from the dead would be something the devs could consider? Perhaps using Cleric and Palemaster levels?

I saw this as more than the singular summons a palemaster can call, but a concept of raising an army, of course, limited in numbers by power and latency limitations.

army of ghouls spell - summons a ghoul (number of ghouls increased by caster level) which attacks all nearby enemies for 30 seconds or until they are destroyed used selected 2x/day
ghouls abilities.. necrotic plague - (stinking cloud) adds 2d8 magical damage unholy blight - disease ability

Summons are one issue, though not the only one, with a quasi like this. Lag is of course another, as is the similarity in theme, if not gameplay, to palemaster.
