I am not yet convinced the 3 AC from Strongheart is worth loosing all that a pharaoh ammy provides.
Pharaoh amulet is not the only alternative. I only use it because it fits nicely in my gear setup.
The +3 AC from Strongheart has less impact on your tanking than you might think since you also have 82-85% concealment. It will certainly make you harder to hit but it is not as important as for the normal strength tank who has usually only 50-60% concealment from Displacement, Mass Camouflage or Shroud of Nature.
For me speed is everything in a bard, to a point where mine is shard and I used speed arti on him. Thou hes not a uni bard like these...
I hardly have to run away from anything with my bard. This might not be the case if you're a low demi, but at 5x demi you can tank any Hell mob. Pelor is the only enemy I can remember where I have problems tanking because of the massive divine infliction. Girding helps a lot there, so I guess Strongheart would too.
I would not use this build for hardcore mode since it is optimized quite a bit and requires at least demi bonuses to work as intended. You can however customize it for hardcore, this most likely will result in not having 60 charisma, not being able to tank Pit Fiends and Malebranche without UUU and having one less spell focus.
