I tried using the system in this vault: nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=scrip...ail&id=2864 - Higher Ground Legendary Level System for levels 41-60 v2.1 At first I tried to test it with a module that comes with it, but saw nothing new in character! Just noticed that it increased the amount of power to evolve former but does not evolve, did not increase anything but ex ... I did all the steps of the checklist that came from: Checklist ========= Software 1) Double click NWNX2andLetoscript24.exe, and put all 7 files in your NWN folder. 2) Double click on NWNX.ini to edit it. Find the line that reads: ModuleName = "Higher Ground Legendary Levels" and change it to the name of your mod (leave off the .mod extension) Scripting 1) Unzip HGLL.zip. Put the Higher Ground Legendary Levels.mod in your modules folder in the NWN folder, and the Legendary_Levels.erf in the erf folder in the NWN folder. 2) Import Legendary_Levels.erf into your module. Ignore the missing resources warnings. Save your module, then build it, then save again. 3) In Edit/Module Properties/Events, set the OnClientEnter event to hgll_cliententer, the OnClientLeave event to hgll_client_exit, and the OnModuleLoad event to aps_onload. 4) Put a useable plotted placeable in your module with the hgll_start_dlg in the OnUsed event. Save the module. 5) Make sure the path to your servervault matches the one on line 4 of the hgll_const_inc script. If you have to change it, save the script, save the mod, build the mod, and save the mod again. Running the module once NWNX is installed in your NWN folder and the Legendary Level system is installed in your module: 1) Double click NWNX2.exe to start NWNX. A few moments later nwnserver will load. 2) Make sure that Enforce Legal Characters is turned off. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then I tried to follow the checklist for creating the module and nothing but the placeable gives xp and does not progress ... I tried placeable without giving xp for the development or the character evolves in the typical way, kill loot and destroy ... but nothing ... I use nwn nwn+SoU+HoU+KingMaker+CEP2.3. I do not know if it lacks anything else besides the download link in the vault, and have no knowledge of and Letoscript NWNX but realized what he had asked in the checklist. Do not know if something else is missing it in this checklist. I have no knowledge of the system or NWNX2 Leto, but I realized exactly what the site calls and txt ... If someone can help me, or someone who could use this system that looks amazing please HELP!!! Thanks!

I'm having a really hard time understanding what the issue is. You say "the character evolves in the normal way" but also say "does not evolve" and 'does not change".
Do you mean to say the character sheet won't say "Barbarian(60)" or similar levels above 40? If so, that's normal.
Or is NOTHING happening to the character at all?

Sorry for poor english ... I am Brazilian ...
On the issue of not changing that's right, the character does not level up. Nwn not display the screen to enhance the features and attributes, and other statistics do not change too. Only xp.

Oh, ok. I understand.
HGLL does not level characters the standard way.
HGLL uses Conversation (not levelup screen) to edit characters. To utilize it:
1) Create a placeable. 1a) Make sure it's "useable" 2) Change "OnUsed" event to "hgll_start_dlg". 3) Put the placeable somewhere.
Then:
Start NWNX. Sign into your module. Use the placeable and finish the conversation. When the conversation is finished, you will be booted. Sign back in and your character will be edited (more HP, skills, feats, abilities).
Your "level" will not go higher than 40, but you will become more powerful.
If I need to clarify anything, let me know.

As Werehound says, HGLL does NOT increase actual levels - that's impossible without a reworking of the game itself, since character files are only fomatted to hold 40 levels. Instead, it increases skills, abilities, hit points, and so on.
If you followed the installation instructions, it should be working. Try the test module again, and check to see what amount one of your character's skills is it. Then, try adding to that skill, and, after you finish the leveling conversation, relog, and check to see if the skill is increased.
Also, MAKE SURE you do NOT have the 'reload when server empty' option checked in the NWNX GUI. If you're the only person on the server when you are booted, it will restart, which will interrupt the character editing process.

Guys do not get it ... I used the placeable. He created a conversation informing a large negative number on xp. Soon after came two options, regardless of what you choose there is no change. How do I choose where the points / talents "can" win, say, where I can distribute them as it apparently does not use conventional means ... that goes for the HP too? I always have to put that in my placeable modules that I want to use it, I can not make my players to kill monsters to level up? If not, how would one use such ideas placeable on adventures?
Thanks!

Ok, I think the language barrier is coming into play. I'm going to need you to confirm what messages the system is giving you line by line. Guys do not get it ... I used the placeable. He created a conversation informing a large negative number on xp. Was the message you saw this?: LevelerPlease select a skill to add a point to. You have -2147483642 points remaining to spend. 1. I cannot or do not wish to select any more skills at this time.If so, that's because you're just running the module as normal. You need to start nwserver by running NWNX.exe, NOT the normal way, as it describes in the directions. You will need to run it as an administrator, if using Vista or Windows 7. Please also make sure that you disallow local vault characters, as the editor can only find servervault characters. Also turn off Enforce Legal Characters, as this system makes 'illegal' characters. That makes sense, if the above is the problem, since without NWNX running, the plugin it uses to edit characters cannot function. They are selected in the conversation...when you start the module properly. The leveler checks experience points to see if a character can level up. You can still give experience points from killing monsters, or however you like. You don' t have to give them out only by placeable. The experience-granting placeables in the demonstration module are only there so people can test the system quickly. Funky

Sorry for the delayed response. I conducted tests and found that my nwnserver not allow him to use load switch. I do not know if that has any problem but I guess not ... Tunngle I use to play with my brothers but even before the nwnserver not allow me to choose a module to play or allow the Boot. She has been disabled ... even start without the nwnx2. Administrator account is of little socks and I can not do the level up above 40. Should I start the nwnx2 it comes the start nwnserver after this that I should continue, start nwn multiplayer via normal? For the load option is disabled, and comes as the module name HGLL off too ... The option Enforce Legal Characters I always disable it ...
Thanks!

Ok, I understand now. NWNX starts the module for you - make sure you run NWNX as an administrator. The reason that the module select area is greyed out is that NWNX has already selected the module, using the NWNX.ini. If you want to change which module you load, you need to do it there, as explained in the readme.
Having never used Tunngle, I do not know if it will cause problems, but it does not sound like it is causing any of your current problems.
Once the module is loaded, you just log into it as you normally would.

Hi Funky, What happens:
1 - My account is administrator and use the Tunngle (but know it can not make problems). 2 - I make all the steps in the readme checklist of Higher Ground (HG) from the vault. 3 - When you start it nwnx2 nwnserver the start and disable the Enforce Legal Characters. 4 - The option to load in nwnserver been disabled and selected as the HG says the checklist(NWNX.ini). 5 - Beginning the nwn, go into multiplayer carry the HG module. 6 - When entering the module I get the xp to level up at level 60. 7 - I reach up to level 40. 8 - I select the gong and the option appears:
Leveler Please select a skill to add a point to. You have -2147483642 points remaining to spend. 1. I cannot or do not wish to select any more skills at this time.
9 - The module records and even giving my character load not know how to level up above level 40. I talk gong/ "leveler" and nothing ...
Do not know if I'm missing something or doing something wrong but this is exactly what I'm doing ... Please I would like to help.
Thanks again...

It sounds like you don't have the leto plugin installed. Please post the contents of your nwnx.txt log, from C:/NeverwinterNights/NWN/logs.0.
Did you use the self-installing exe? I believe it will only work if you have a default installation path. Please make sure you have these 7 files in your NWN folder (C:/NeverwinterNights/NWN in a default installation).
I have included 7 files in the self-extracting zip filed named NWNX2andLetoscript24.exe. Double click it, and put all 7 in your NWN folder. The normal path to the NWN folder in a default installation is C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN. The files are named: NWNX2.exe NWNX.INI nwnx-module.dll madCHook.dll LetoScript.dll nwnx_leto.dll nwnx_odbc.dll
Also please make sure that, once you have started the server and log in to test, you are actually logging in to the server, and not starting a new single player game.

For some reason the leto plugin is failing to find your character. The other two possibilities I can think of:
1) You are running the module as localvault. This will not work. You MUST run it as servervault in order for the server to have access to the character files to edit.
2) You didn't set the correct path to the servervault in the ini, or forgot to compile after doing so. Please open the hgll_const_inc and make sure that the path is set to your correct servervault path - the default is for the standard C:/NeverwinterNights/NWN/servervault installation. After this you must recompile all the scripts in order for the change to take effect. If you get compile errors, the change will not take effect - let me know if that happens, and I can help.
