There hasnt been updated pariah builds in long long time, yet I see several of pariahs being played - and in my own opinion - without great success. Talk about insulting......... My own Pariah build on the Forums here hasn't been updated for one reason and one reason only, it's still perfectly viable, in fact it pwns in Hells, Elysium and Abo, I haven't played it yet in Abyss but I'm sure it will do just as well there. Cata [Hmm just updated it to reflect it's Demi x 2 Status it gained recently, forgot to do that]

Also, your build description is wrong, assuming this is not a Pale Master, but an Accursed Pariah. ;-)

Heh, beat me to it--my curiosity was piqued after seeing "PM" in a thread title in the Pariah subsection, and I was quite interested to see a Damage PM Pariah...

Damage Pale Master

Referring to the fact that its spell penetration is higher than a pale master's, and its DCs similar, however it is a damage caster rather than insta killer. Thus it's a Damage PM.

That clarification/explanation makes sense, I suppose.
Still a bit of a stretch at first glance to understand the phrase, but at the same time I actually like it. A bit confusing possibly, but then this build isn't exactly being hawked to newly-minted players, so what's the harm?
Seems like a fun build indeed.

Most Pariahs in the forums have more defensive spells in their spell lists. Often these include: Greater Sanctuary, Greater Stoneskin, Tensers, Energy Buffer, Bigby5.
How do you manage without any of those?

Greater Sanctuary can be replaced by either scrolls or by using the Chain of Solidarity recommended in the gear list. Also the build has access to Ghostly Visage which is a no cool down short duration sanctuary. Keep in mind that casting a spell or using a scroll typically invokes a concentration check or an AoO and using the item based spell does not - so the Chain really is very good when the damage is coming in fast!
The lack of Greater Stoneskin, Tensers and Energy Buffer is mitigated by good gear typically. Physical immunities with this build can easily top 100% so even with penalties life is relatively pain free. The gear set up here has good elemental resists and immunities. Exotic damage too with some of the set ups. Energy buffer is also available on augmented items.
Bigby 5 is relatively under used but this build is about beating SR and dealing huge AoE damage with insta killing on the side.
As with all of these player experience, placement, knowledge of the run and spawn points and of course skill also help.
I lack the mad skillz of Fallen but I still find that this build is remarkably stable with a decent gear set up. It's also surprisingly flexible with respect to gear (unlike my wizard who has to dedicate almost every available slot to Tia items to keep up with sorcerors in the spell slot department).
Best of all in my opinion is the ability to completely ignore the lack of a druid or any other SR dropping class on a run. Spell penetration is 80 at 2xD with an artifact. The artifact is EASY to get and with an immortal you can still be at spell penetration of 76. Compared to 70 on a pure wizard.
The thing that sucks most about this build is Spiniarch's. You will hate them as they KD you from across the map and there isn't a way to disable or kill them really quickly.
I have another Pariah which is the traditional stoning variety with defensive spells. This one is simply way more fun in my opinion.
The one caveat I would add is that I reincarnated a 2xD barbarian into this build and didn't level it from scratch. The SP gains for an immortal are slightly more marginal and some of the gear recommended here simply can't be used until you have defeated Asmo at least once.
