One common theme that stuck out were the touch based abilities of both classes so I'm running with that. Currently the only 'touch' master on HG is a fist Monk so it's something of a niche.
Each class gets some neat bonuses at higher levels so I think there's a reason to do both Pal and PM CC builds.
Paladin / Palemaster
10 Plaladin / 10 Pale Master (either CC build is going to have this anyway so this value is probably not critical but shouldn't be higher)
Turn Undead - Death Knell (PWK) centred on caster
Lay on Hands - confers crit immune to ally regardless of CC (Pal or PM)
Greater Smite - 3/5 PM lvls count towards smiter levels and may select both damage types (or this is a good opportunity for something new here like an AoE Power Word Stun)
Divine Might - no change
Divine Shield - no change
Deathless Master Touch - count paladin levels and inflicts necrotic rot instead of instant death (some kind of ability or skill drain)
Divine Grace - no change, must remain Good
Quasi Spells - counts Pal+PM for caster levels:
Inflict * Wounds (can Paladin's take these?)
Darkness
Shocking Grasp
Chill Touch
Corrosive Grasp
Ghoul Touch
Vampiric Touch
Fear
Phantasmal Killer
Spell List could use some input on any spells useful in Abyss that would be in line with the concept. Also I see Stoneskin/Energy buffer listed as a class spell for some quasis, not sure if this class combination is soft enough to require thier inclusion. I don't think so).
Build Diversity Considerations:
Paladin CC gains +1 STR and CHA per 5 lvls = +4 at 60
Divine Might and Shield durations double at Pal 21 and triple at char lvl 41
Greater Smite AB is CHA based
Greater Smite damage is Pal lvl based unless adding in some portion of PM lvls
Palemasters gain +1 DC Necro/Illusion at lvl 15, 30 and 45
Boneskin +2 AC at PM lvls 1,5,9,14,19,23,27,31,35 but this is halved if base STR/DEX > 25
Deathless Mastery - sneak immune PM 10, +10 % crit immune per PM lvl after that (max 100% @ PM 20)
WIP - balance quasi to allow or deny secrets:
Divine Inspiration - 36 base Charisma
Guardian Angel - Paladin 20 / Character Level 30
Mass Rez - Paladin 25 / Character Level 40
Paladin Weapon
Lich - Palmaster 20
Demi Lich -
Lich Song - gained at PM 20 if you transform into a lich, equals PM level (including LL if CC is PM) - 10
Right now it's shaking out to:
Sorc 8/Pal21/PM11
this gets the highest smite damage, touch AB anddivine M/S duration, 5% crit immune, +4 AC, weak deathless touch ability, gains all Paladin secrets but no PM secrets
Sorc 8/Pal12/PM20
this gets full crit immune, full PM AC bonus (cap is 12, 16, 18?) weak smite damage unless including PM levels, gains all Lich abilities/secrets but no Paladin secrets
