Any chance of HGX splitting out the various esoteric damage types? I'm trying to figure out how useful the esoteric immunity/resist items are and that's hard to do without knowing how much damage each type is doing. Hold alt and click the little white arrow The names of all the damage types can be found here: wiki.hgweb.org/wiki/Damage_Types, but it doesn't match 100% so you'll have to guess for some of the unusual ones.

Anyone have a clue what this error means and how to solve this? HGX doesnt show any info about mobs and stats because of this:
2019-05-17 11:51:03.394 - DEBUG - [Hgx.UserInterface.MainForm]: Hgx.Core.dll version: 2.8.6.0 2019-05-17 11:53:13.508 - DEBUG - [Hgx.Client.NamedPipeClient]: IOException while writing to server pipe, trying to reconnect
System is Windows 10 64bit latest patch HGX and NWN are started with admin rights Logging in NWN is avtivated. Security settings are checkd and in order

I need some help with creating a Hellball counter. I have looked through the statusrules folder, but cannot find an example with a counter in it. There must be some way to do it as there is a counter for CoT Divine Favor.
When a player uses a Hellball, get the following messages: Player casts Epic Spell: Hellball You have X uses of Hellball left.

(Thanks to " onetimeaccountno1" for the HGX update which included the newer damage types in DamageColors.cs that I pulled these from. Incidentally, if Vichya or " onetimeaccountno1 " ever returns and reads this, I'd love for you to contact me in regards to some implementation questions ) This is intended to serve as a complement for this Information For Programmers post: Perhaps Acaos/Funky could eventually copy-paste the values over into the table in that post (I'm not 100% sure which subcategory each newer type belongs to--my guess is Direct for Digestion, Deception, Degeneration, Retribution, and Venom; Antimagic, Force, and Blight are Special? Or maybe Blight is Direct too...I was thinking because it seems like Desiccating... ). Antimagic | soft violet | CC77FE Blight | soft yellow | F0F080 Deception | vivid orange | FE9901 Degeneration | vivid red | FE0000 Digestion | strong green | 90C030 Force | strong violet | 9030C0 Retribution | lime-green | 00FE00 Venom | strong green | 90C030

Aside from not having the overlay for stats, permanent map pins and death counters, what do you lose if you are not running HGX (ie. if you are only running the nwn exe)? I think that there are some object details that do not print properly?
Is there an HGX equivalent for Mac?
I have a friend who only has a Mac, and I wanted to know if I should get him NWN Diamond for his birthday, so that he could join HG.

I don't play with HGX, at least not currently, however I do use the modified executable not sure if that if available for Mac users and I forget what you would lose with it. For HGX you only lose the overlays.

some object details that do not print properly? if you're referring to graphics, you might be thinking of HG Enhanced Mode, or HGE. the only things you "lose" by not using hgx are the extras that hgx provides the "experience." nothing about hg's custom features or functionality rely on hgx; it's an add-on program. as for the mac question, you/your friend can do some research about running nwn on mac. there's a lot to cover on the subject, but if your friend is a mac gamer, they probably are already familiar with running windows games on mac either natively or via vm. if they aren't familiar with this, it's going to be a bit of a learning curve. there are resources out there for mac on nwn and some stuff here on these forums.

:-D
No, I would not call him a gamer!
We grew up with pnp dnd, and, back in the day, I set up set everything from Baldur's Gate to Diablo on my machine and we would play. I was hoping to buy NWN from gog for him, and then set him up, but it turns out he only has a mac.
GOG claims that their NWN works on the mac, but I do not know if that only applies to the enhanced version. :_( I was hoping it was simply a mac version, which would have the same folders for haks and mods.

I remember the dark days of playing HG on mac, it was via Porting Kit and Wineskin. It was the GOG version of the game. I could not for the life of me make HGX work there, but HGX isn't required in any way.

(I don't actually know what "Porting Kit and Wineskin are) Does that mean GOG does not have a mac version of NWN, even though the web site lists MacOSX? (perhaps MacOSX is only for the enhanced edition?)
