Have to say that this is a great update and kudos to the DM team for consistently improving the server! Oh, and great job on the mods -- love them all except the bard epics getting duration dropped 2-4x, but I'm sure this was done for balance reasons. Yesterday I whined to just about everyone who wanted to listen (and a few who I'm sure didn't want to) about how nasty a change this was for my caster bard Calliope (I had boosted STR and DEX instead of CHA to become more or less KD immune, so the duration of the UUU bard epic was severely reduced for her). However, the epic was way overpowered before so while the change hurt something clearly had to be done. Although it pains me to say it I feel the change is quite reasonable from a balancing point-of-view . And with maxed CHA you can still get 25+ rounds of knockdown immunity which isn't so bad after all. Cheers, Claus

-Most spells and some feats should be restored to their previous usage level on login. More feats will be added in the future.
What do you mean by "restored to their previous usage level on login"? Seems like I'm the only one not getting this part.. hehe. Anyway, no harm in asking I hope.

-Crafting is no longer free. However, armor and weapon crafting should now copy over when items are updated. -Fashion accessories should now be craftable. -Most spells and some feats should be restored to their previous usage level on login. More feats will be added in the future. -Flame Weapon and similar spells should no longer cause extra kickback in combat. -Many buff spells have been updated to affect lower-level characters at a lower caster level rather than being completely useless on them. They will still have full duration determined by caster level. -Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken and Dirge of the Deathless now have a duration equal to the bard's Charisma modifier in rounds. -Dwarven Warchanters now require 16 base Charisma for their epic spells. -Invisible helm activation can now be toggled with the '!invishelm' SIMtools command. -Bug and exploit fixes. Don't see anything in here about 'Gimping' Dustbone weapons (well more specifically the AA bows) unless it was considered a bug to have them be effective?

Delthral Newbie addict to this world Log out with seven destructions left and when you come back in (on the same server) you'll have the same spells remaining and not be penalised for logging out (or crashing). This is a huge benefit to people with unstable connections or when you get forced to relog for an addition as you don't then have to immediately rest to get your spells back.

Not having a caster bard myself (but having one in my Hells group, who just happens to be my wife), I really appreciate the change to the bards' epics. I understand that some think it gimps toons already made with exactly 30 charisma, and then either boosted str/dex or con. But to me, it simply opens up other possibilities on the same build - do you do as claus mentioned, and go for the knockdown immunity of having a huge str/dex? Or do you go the way that zerragon has talked about, and go with con to have massive hp's? Or, do you do what my wife did with hers (which was created LONG before any of the recent bard changes), and go full-on charisma, for the up-sides there, and to cast some spells? All three are viable options on the same build idea, and I think it's great that people can choose what they want to be "best" at.
As for the other changes...wow. Really great. The "no extra kickback" and "spell/feat restoration" ones are most excellent, and some of the others are some nice extras as well. Great job on the updates, as always, guys. Thank you.

Clearly sonic dmg was removed from the db bows to encourage AA's to call phleg runs all day everyday until they get them all...

1) My Dusty Bows appear to have had their sonic damage removed 8o( Is there an reason for this, beyond ewstorm's suggestion? 1a) Is there a Sonic Bow available anywhere? 2) Seeker Arrow is still wiped on relog.

After all if you're using a fire bow you would expect the biggest damage quantity to be fire.

We did make it so the extra damage packet doesn't cause kickback, just like Flame Weapon and so on. Acaos

Ah, I did sort of suspect that 2d12 might be as high as you could go, go on make it +16 you know you want to

as for feats being restored, the defensive weave on my DD still does not come back restored but always at -10. I have 13 so if I log or crash I come back with 3 and if I had 10 or less it then of course comes back at 0.
