I don't have much free time for building & hosting any more. But if I were going to serve NWN again I'd build much of the systems/mod from scratch and use a combo of the following: VMware ESXi (4.x or 5.x) -OR- Citrix XenServer 5.x (Based on Xen.org) host machine A Dedicated Storage appliance (Sun ZFS on Nexenta or FreeNAS) Turnkey Linux style LAMP server for database and web And of course...a NWNIAB style appliance pre-configured and ready to import. So I'd like to ask... Has anyone had any experience/success importing the NWNIAB VirtualBox envoronment into a VMware or Xen virtual environment? Does it include support/integration of NWNx or NWNeXalt? If so, does it support using a centralized SQL database by default as well? Thanks in advance. I'm taking an extended break from hosting/building to catch up on some serious real life items that need attention right now. But if at some point in the future my time frees up I may be back to put the above mentioned ideas to work. After all, love NWN...and in spite of it's age it is still the single best RPG/D&D world building suite out there.
