Man, I bet you guys know the Aurora engine better than almost everyone at Bioware.
Had someone ingame today try to tell me with 30 Hide skill you can get the same benefit as five SC feats... LOL.

OK, admittedly my eyes are going square from trying to get all my builds nailed down, but now I'm even more confused Q#1 - If it's capped at 20 where is the extra 5% coming from? Is 70% not the max? Q#2 - How does the 4% calculate, over the entire amount or for each SC? For each SC, it would require 25 points to get 1%/SC (.04 * 25 =1), therefore 75 points hide would give 3%/SC for a total of 15% (assuming 5 SC), but if I had 80 points, over the entire amount it would give an extra % point (.04 * 80 = 3.2, 3.2 * 5 = 16%) thanks in advance, ss

Q#1 - If it's capped at 20 where is the extra 5% coming from? Is 70% not the max? That's 20% of Hide skill, not 20% concealment. Assuming you have sufficient rogue levels, SC1 adds 4% of your Hide skill, SC2 adds 8%, SC3 adds 12%, SC4 adds 16%, and SC5 adds 20%. So with maxed Hide skill and sufficient rogue level, your maximum concealment is 15% with SC1, 30% with SC2, 45.2% with SC3, 60% with SC4, and 75.4% with SC5. An alternate progression we may switch to if this proves too powerful (75% unbreachable permanent conceal is indeed an extremely strong power) would be 5% for SC1, 9% for SC2, 12% for SC3, 14% for SC4, and 15% for SC5, leading to (with capped Hide) a maximum conceal of 16.3% with SC1, 31.4% with SC2, 45.2% with SC3, 57.7% with SC4, and 69% with SC5. Thanks for the quick response. So to clarify, it will calculate the decimal point instead of rounding up or down? I ask because I don't have the maximum levels or hide points, I am tight on points, and I was under the assumption that numbers were rounded off.

This has had an unwitting side effect of making the skulk race quite good for defensive rogues ( the feat ) so im gonna have ot go out and get this race now heh

True, but I believe a toon will be sacrificing other defenses if wearing enough gear to achieve the max skill though.
