The subrace system seems to be fairly complete. It's great to be able to select from appearances to customize the appearances that aren't dynamic. However, when the subrace properties are applied it would be a big improvement to change the character's soundset as well as appearance. My kobold speaks uncontrollably like a human during battle. If there are multiple appropriate sets for a subrace, perhaps we could choose among them as with appearances.

I think you have to download and install a client side HAK for that but I could be mistaken

Keep in mind that few of them are complete voice sets. If that bothers you (like it does my wife), then it helps to figure out which ones are complete.
I've often wondered, though, how hard it would be to make my own voice sets. Sure, most people wouldn't hear them, but it would still be neat.

Hmm, that seems to only unlock the npc soundsets for pcs and not the creature soundsets. I wasn't looking to set it myself at character creation but suggesting it be incorporated into updates of the module. I think some dm tools can assign soundsets, but I think it really ought to be scripted into the module to apply the appropriate soundset to a subrace along with the appearance.

Scripting that in isn't necessarily a good idea. While you enjoy and favor these sound sets, others may not. Why should they be forced to use them? I for one, value a voice set that actually had a taunt when I taunt, versus nothing. Most non human sets do not. Just one example.

I prefer that a kobold sound like the other kobolds. How is one better/more important? I've seen servers with voice changing npcs/objects. That would be easy to find on the vault and drop in I would guess.

Scripting it would be an unnecessary workload onto the developers here for something that to my knowledge has never been complained about/requested until now. In the particular example here of wanting the kobold voices set it is in the voice pak vorsh has linked so if you can do it yourself at creation it further reduces the need/purpose of the developers creating a means which would do it after the fact. I also think were this done it would need to be something one opted into instead of opting out of.
