After reading the posts re tanks and new set weapon ideas I was wondering if some sort of weapon switcher might be feasible for other weapon types. One of the main issues raised was that multiple weapons gets too tedious with buffing etc, so for any one run only 2 or 3 are "acceptable" to buff by the party. Also, switching weapons frequently causes auto missed attacks which makes it less desirable in some cases. To that end, I was wondering if a system could be implemented where multiple weapons are consumed by a weapon of the same type (could be auto grant or a drop somewhere, but would need to be new player friendly). This weapon would then have the different weapon damages accessible via !wep1, !wep2 etc. Any buffs would be applied to the base weapon, and would be automatically applied to any consumed weapons which have the damage type. This would greatly simplify buffing (which is a major pain in the backside and creates some resentment towards tanks), would allow tanks to use as many weapons as they want (if they want to craft a perfect weapon for every mob then they can, just have to remember which is which), and might make megadamage weapons more popular, as they wouldn't add any extra buffing requirements. It might also the antiexploit automiss to be avoided, which would be great. Anyway just a thought for a lazy Sunday afternoon

This is an amazing idea, and the only solution I've seen anyone ever think up for circumventing 100% miss anti-exploit which is a huge QoL issue for tanks. Being able to switch weapons without being counterproductive is enough to make one drool.

I like the idea but don't know how feasible it would be to code (in terms of tracking which buffs are/aren't in place). It would probably be easier with a system like this to just remove weapon dice buffs from the game and assume that every weapon already has them all instead (eg: DB weapons have 6d12 of everything), and leave GMW and Keen which would apply to them all. This would also address the complaint of tanks being unable to self-buff. Though it is probably against the 'spirit' of HG.
