To help with the set loot suggestions i created this table. Run name
| Appropriate set loot power tier
| Observations | Maze of the Ancients
| Between Rare and UR
| Most gear is a bit sad, and the run boss is quite unforgiving (SR and immunity) for the appropriate level
| Feywild
| Crafting materials (does not apply)
| -No relevant set loot-
| Ssithrak Dimension
| Between Rare and UR
|
| Myconid Depths
| Between Rare and UR
|
| Toyshop
| Between Rare and UR
|
| Desert and Dustbone
| Between Rare and UR
|
| Elemental Planes
| Crafting materials (does not apply)
| -No relevant set loot-
| Uroboros Peak
| UR
| Most items few underwhelming
| Locathah Depths
| Between UR and BUR
| This run is actually quite unforgiving
| Zorbgot's Hive
| Between UR and BUR
| Short run at appropriate strategy/power but useless loot barring artifact
| Catacombs of Dulvuroth
| UR
|
| Penumbra
| UR
|
| The Hive
| Between UR and BUR
|
| Rona
| Between UR and BUR
|
| Pit of Moliation
| UR
|
| Black Pyramid
| Between UR and BUR
| Short run at appropriate strategy/power but useless loot barring artifact
| Oinos
| -
| -Lacks set loot (tough it seems to drop consumables more often than other runs)-
| Abyss
| BUR
|
| Hells
| BUR
|
| Elysium
| BUR
|
| Aboleths
| BUR
|
|
General ideas:One issue I see is that most items below UR power tend to be useless to everyone except newer player because character at 40 can already equip UR loot. Weapons and motes tend to be the most troublesome set loot (due making the loot table big). It's probably not worth to have any non-caster armor piece with AC bellow UR tier - lowbie characters tend to need the ac sooner due low tumble. Please try to fix any incorrect evaluation I made.

Feywild drops crafting components for potions and stuff when you kill them. They also drop random loot.

So fey drops random loot to UR quality. Guess this leave it as irrelevant as Elemental Planes for this research. Thanks.
Now back to the Probable loot power, I got a few questions: 1 - Are my "guesses" are over the actual power level of current loot? (Seems so to me) 2 - Giving existing loot the same special abilities of end game loot is not code intensive? (i.e. cloning something like clockwork boots) 3 - Making an item update to a newer version is way more code intensive than just creating a new version?

1) I'd say Locathah and Beholders are roughly UR level rather than UR to BUR (artifact excepted in Beholders). I also believe Rona can drop BURs, though the set loot there is indeed between UR and BUR in power.
2) Adding identical special abilities is generally quite easy.
3) Making an item update to a newer version - if you mean the item updater in the docks, that's very easy for us to do most of the time.
As for your comment about loot table size, we generally tend to have weapons drop from dedicated locations, so they don't push other items out of the loot. Random-loot weapons excepted, but those also have their own special sub-table most of the time.

Oh, you can update items relatively easily. Well thats good news, we could do with tweaking a few of the current set loots to make them useable over average BURs.

I'm a bit confused by your assessment of Zorbgot's Hive and Black Pyramid. Are the set loot "between UR and BUR", or is it "useless loot barring artifact." The two seem mutually exclusive. Personally I would rate Pyramid loot as equivalent with UR, with the obvious qualification that although the loot is roughly UR quality, it cannot be randomized and therefore falls short of most URs.
Also, wouldn't rate Locathah as between UR and BUR - definitely closer to the UR range, aside from uber books which have been a must-have for shifter builds. Also, the run is only unforgiving if you are new to it and don't know what to do there (as is any run). If you're simply going by "set loot" none of the runs you have listed, excepting Abyss/Hells/Elysium/Aboleths, should be listed as "between UR and BUR" - they're all pretty much UR, though there are specific notable exceptions, such as PoM bracers, which are arguably BUR quality, etc. But on the whole most of those runs aren't going to have anything near BUR quality as far as set loot is concerned.

I've expressed myself poorly - It should be something akin "adequate set loot power tier" given the actual level people can do those runs. // fixed that on the table
-Random question- Is it time consuming to code more areas to drop loot like in Feywild? (i.e. directly into players inventory) Oinos could probably use that.
-On weapons- But they are really, really so many weapon types that just between themselves it's quite hard to get to the desired ones, no? But thanks to the correction.

Nice work, and I agree with most of the set loot categorizations. I will probably start with the first area and work down, each in a new thread, using this thread as a template. I want to be clear first: how long is a player 'new', before the loot in the Maze is useless?
Also, what area would you like to start with first, if not the Maze? We can begin with any, if you prefer.

Not really. Are both being used exclusively for soloers? Oinos is usually used by small parties and soloers (usually army bards or caster with buffed Evocation Summon). I haven't seen Elemental planes being used in quite a long time. Nice work, and I agree with most of the set loot categorizations. I will probably start with the first area and work down, each in a new thread, using this thread as a template. I want to be clear first: how long is a player 'new', before the loot in the Maze is useless? I agree going in wiki's order is probably the best - Maze of the ancients it is. I'll address that question on it's topic.
