What should I be looking for in a build for an assassin?

Maximum dc and not dying. And the highest critical threat you can - critical multiplier is meaningless isn't very important as you can instant kill most non critical immune targets.

I recommend this build. (I know I'm biased. ) Damage is pretty bad but kill rate should go up substantially when the next update drops. Current kill rate is pretty good - plus you get full rogue skills. -S

Would it be worth it to drop the rogue skills and try for a better strength for PF checks? What about Power Critical?

I'm biased too but this one highergroundpoa.proboards.com/thread/24144 nice to play and doesn't have to run away from stat check mobs, 145+ ac using two weapons and 155'ish with sword and board, can disarm and kd in addition to MS and usually comes near the top of the damage and kills not to mention dodge % and least deaths.

Would it be worth it to drop the rogue skills and try for a better strength for PF checks? What about Power Critical? IIRC Power and Superior Critical don't work with Assassins. Rogue skills are highly appreciated so if you can fit them in, please go for it. You'll need a pretty high intelligence to fit in everything you need though. Rets build is pretty solid, whatever you do, try to make the alt stat at least 14 on creation, more if the race allows it, i.e. Fluffy Wemic had 20-22 to each with subrace edits (although that cant do rogue stuff).

Correct Power and Superior critical do not affect MS chance, if you get them on gear all well and good as it can potentially increase your damage output but don't allocate feats to them. I'd have liked to fit in rogue skills on Fluffy but its just not possible if you want to max Discipline, Listen, Parry, Hide, Tumble, Craft Armour, Craft Weapon plus fitting 20 or so Concentration. You could of course swap some of the skills out but as it stands the build has worked well eveywhere I've taken it including holding its own against new Limbo critters even when surrounded by them.

The kind of build you should do depends on available subraces (and SH in case of Str build). If you have oc/dc gear a dexter is probably better.
Some sort of uni-wannabe tank is helpful on the survival aspect, tough it might cost rogue skills.

Why 4 monk/6 Fighter and not 2 Monk, 8 Fighter for one more feat?

Saves I guess. And skillpoints.

You get still mind and monk speed at 3 levels whilst the 4th level is not so important I just did it to even the build out :-)

You used the Knockdown pandect? Is it worth taking Legendary and Paragon Knockdown?
With Paragon WF, Paragon Anchoring, Paragon Disarm, and Paragon Weapon Alternate, there are two free Paragon feats. I'm not really comfortable using them for inherent anything so I was wondering about alternatives. Better saves?

Yup took the KD feats as its fun to see stuff on its back, forget extra saves Feats mine are all over 70 at level 79, love the new extra MS opportunity in the latest build if I were to take one more skill it would probably be Pick Pocket as that can make some tedious healing creatures less painful to take down, you could also justify search as even if you can't open stuff it would let you find secrets.
