Wikia
Understand You guys are really busy. But i'm spotting inconsistencies now and again. I should probably note them down (my bad). Some pages also seem to end at a holding page for the Higher ground pro-boards page then go no further.
Its also difficult to spot the last valid edit date as i don't think it shows the edit reason on each page.
That said. I do use it a lot. Lots of good info but not updated regularly enough to be used easily.
The NWN links seem to take forever (not your responsibility I know). The NWN page does not take into account the changes from HG. I know there is a page of changes on HG wikia but again, out of date and means a lot of cross referencing for newbies.
Is it yet possible to have the entire class, wpn within the Wikia? Or does Licence and copyright prevent this still?
On the other hand. Is it worth continuing? Must be costing something in server space/rental. Or is there a plan in place to work and fix it?
I would offer. I'm currently without Job except being a househusband! Plus I do need a job to practice my out of date web authoring skills. My HG knowledge isn't the Best at the moment either. I also don't want to tread on any toes if its already someones job. For now I can try and report specific issues when i figure the right place to send them. If that would be of use?

Also with regard to updates... Why is the Sai a {B} Bludgeoning weapon? surely its main offensive use is Piercing?

Please do take up updating if you have the time and inclination. The links ending in forum spaceholders may be from when the boards used to be proboards3, instead of proboards. May want to see if tweaking the address on the link slightly fixes things.
Anyway, the Team doesn't assume any responsibility for updating the Wiki - that's on the players. I can't really speak to how out-of-date or not it is.

Also with regard to updates... Why is the Sai a {B} Bludgeoning weapon? surely its main offensive use is Piercing? As far as I know, the tip of a sai is rounded, so it would be a bludgeoning weapon. Depends on the version, The well known Japanese version was Blunted on purpose during one period as bladed weapons were not allowed in court. Also some modern eastern police forces use blunted versions instead of batons. Most modern martial arts frown upon using live blades for practice so you wont find many real blades there either. Sai come in variations with no guard prongs, or one or two prongs, u shaped and s shaped. They come from all over the region in various countries. Japan is just one of them. Defensively its used for blocks, tangling clothes, plus wrist, finger, arm locks, and weapon trapping of course. Offensively its used as a stabbing weapon. Even blunted it still hurts since the small surface of any striking area focuses the impact. But in its true form its used to puncture soft or padded armour or to thrust between armour joints on downed opponents. Lots of conjecture over its origins and some think it was originally a farm tool. It would make sense since richer people would have swords to fight with. Just like European knights at Agincourt. Eastern warriors had men at arms to finish off downed opponents (of little worth) with a balock knife or dagger. Followers would use the Sai to stab the groin or armpit openings in armoured enemies. The long points helping to bypass the armour to ensure a deep wound to the heart or femoral(sp?) artery.. I admit Japanese MA isn't by strong point. But I've studied Sai as a Chinese, Thaiwanese and malaysian weapon. 'trix

You can PM me things you want to have changed if you don't can/want do it yourself. IMHO, our wiki is quite up to date. The changes of the resent update must be implemented, through. (in the documentation pages of this forum too I guess.)

I will try Deso :-) But I'm not as knowledgeable on HG as most of you. I still run across new pages of information regularly. The recent updates bit is useful info. But the areas I'm using are the very basic pages that only Newbies and people returning after a long break would use. A few example pages that I find i use the most that are not upto date: RacesWeaponsBarbarian and all the other class pages. Cross referencing these to NWN NWN Barb takes forever. It would be easier to have all the info in one place and corrected for HG. I will have a crack at Editing though. See what use I can be. 'trix
