Love the wall of text! A lot of great information and basically a regular sorc will net the same, if not greater value to a party than the AP will.
Just a small question to clarify: Does the AP need 80 con to actually work on paragon levels?

CL is capped at 60 so 60 con is what you need to barely cast your buffs, otoh every bit of SP and DC helps when your main spells are save-or-else ones, hence like for all casters every single point should be invested into it.
A bur race caster at 80 should aim at 76 (sp arti) or 78 (stat arti), a maelephant gnome pariah gets +6 over that (gnome and barbarian LL boni), so 84 con (with con arti) would be the final number.

and it would only normally be worth having such high SP if the group has no druid or bard to further decrease SP of the mobs I take it?

SR for some creatures can reach 110+, and you are supposed to meet a bunch of those in every run you make with level 80s and multiple demigods. Some enemies are designed to be easily dealt only by pm/pariah SP, even with a druid in party.
Check the Bestiary and add +4 SR for every paragon rank (so +12 for elites).
Also, CON is used for DC as well.

So like in some cases, Pariah is the absolute high end casters, when you reach the pinnacle of difficulty.

Until you realize they lack some spells and epics, and if you build them as 32/8-34/6 they lose their DC edge. They have a niche, but aren't full sorc substitutes anymore. They still have less limitations than pm/bfm/dsm so they're more welcome aboard, and especially for hells their arsenal is more than enough. I wouldn't recommend anybody to play a quasi caster before knowing the limits and potential of a true class tho.

I disagree on that Raj, having limited spells and better defense is easier to start with imo. When you dont have stuff like cod you wont try to kill death magic imm targets with it. As long as pariah dont fall into flesh to stone pigeonhole they are easy to play effectively. They lack the variance of instakilling as much as sorc does, but they can kill many enough and then spam dmg on rest.

They scale too slow.

Thank you very much for clearing all that up for me! Now that I know this is just a nothing type of mage there is no way I'm going to waste anymore time leveling this toon up. I have wasted hours on this toon that I will never get back. I swear the last thing I need to do is learn how to play a quasi sorc. I can barely play the pure one I have. I can't thank you enough for clearing up my confusion! Thank You! Thank You! THANK YOU! Well you can always turn it into a Barbarian. Barbarians are among the best melee class on the server at current. -S

I must second Blazings idea of just deleting the toon.
Even if you start a new character to make a sorcerer or barbarian, getting all the things right, such as race etc, might not be what you have ready.

Well you can always turn it into a Barbarian. Barbarians are among the best melee class on the server at current. -S That is a good idea so it wasn't a total waste of time but I deleted it because I already had a barbarian class toon. I didn't see any point of trying to level another one because I don't play the one I have very often as it is. Due to the reincarnation mechanism (ie: changing a class into another completely new class in ~6-9 months) I would recommend never deleting a toon. If anything just get it to 60 (or higher) and use it as a placeholder for another future class. Easy enough to swap a pariah to a regular sorc in 6 months (and Sorc CC pariah isn't that bad if you consider things like epics) or make a completely new class-combo in the future. I dunno, seems like a waste of time to delete a toon period.

Yes, you van aleays reincarnate, however I would only ever considering going to 40 on a failed toon.
Then you can reincarnate all tour tags on any class you want to play. However I believe Breen was 29 with his pariah and he had both classes if he went to 60(Barb and sorc). So he would just have another Barb or sorc for no use.
In his case, it just was better spending time on another toon project IMO.

Ok I was ignorant of the fact a pre immo toon could be reincarnated into anything. I will keep this in mine next time I find I'm myself in this situation. Thanks for the info!
