That said, I thought I had added a de-randomize option for pre-XR loot at the forge; I know people had requested it, but I may well have resisted that impulse. There is one - today it's used when the player is missing the secret for the re-randomize option, so they choose de-randomize and then manually !randomize it

We usually get 3-5 forge secrets out of limbo p1 or p2 runs if we bother search. As it is now, the only thing we can do with that stuff is to de-randomize XR ac. That's incredibly limited, when you consider a p1 run might net just enough canopics to gamble 1 xr for the whole party, let say 2-3 for a p2. And only a minimal part of them needs ac-fix. If we get those runs done quicker, we still would end with the same amount of useless secrets. On a side note, should you also reduce the amount of forge secrets dropping (recommended) in favor of more canopics/burs, I'd like not to see common/uncommon augmentors as possible secret drops for Limbo/Abyss, really useless and put you in a bad mood.
Expand the forge to allow almost all the standard operations for XRs as well: destroy augmentors (would probably still use a common Pulpa item tho), remove class/race/allignment restrictions, restore removed properties and delete green added ones (they're not always beneficial); 1-2 billions for each operation to have a good money sink.
The only operations I'd leave out for now, because they are a recipe for powercreeping, are derandomize and rerandomize XRs. For those operations the materials should be hidden in EE areas, or spawn as sets, similar to how we need Abo/Ely secrets to derandomize BURs and LL ones to rerandomize them, while the ''fix broken item'' operations are done by using the materials spawning in the proper level areas (Hells/Abyss for BURs). And I guess using Asmo swords on XRs for added properties can also be left out for now.
Also worth note how we can apply and destroy augmentors on XR loot, but we cannot recover it with Ulith/Serpent's Blood items. That option should be available as well, it's mostly convenience.

Those runs are rare, aren't rogue friendly and those secrets don't drop very often. Having unrandomized burs is never a goal for end game players so beside using them when we lack the proper LL ingredient to re-randomize, they're not important. Hell-Abyss secrets de-randomize URs. That's actually a good trick to mass de-randomize -> re-randomize the few URs that can hold their weight against BURs/high level sets, namely breach boots, magic % rings, caster staves, exotic dr belts. The ingredients to re-randomize straight can be something hard to mass-farm such as Dustbone Leg Bones or Axerian Matrices while Hell/Abyss areas can spawn 2-4 items per map.

Oh I didn't know it would be an option, given current forge recipes, but works as well. You like gold sinks tho.

We will allow people to refund motes at full refund value, as before, and: We will allow people to refund any unwanted XR for 20 canopics.Could you please clarify whether we are currently able to have our unwanted XRs refunded (assuming DM availability, similar to current Mote refunds)? Or is this post just a notification that the option will be coded in eventually?

Not only will this enable to to gain some partial compensation for misclicks, but this option will encourage players to risk selecting random XRs.
