I don't really know much about EE (it sounds to me that it's just some very minor graphical improvements in an attemp to make cash, but we'll see). It's not. I don't know how the graphics will compare, but they are making edits that will greatly increase our ability to do cool things, and they're listening to server devs in the process, which I take as a good sign. We just did a tweak to make echoed items less onerous. I don't see anything happening to key requirements or reincarnation restrictions. Loot drop improvements are definitely something I am considering, and we've just made some edits to lowbie gear to improve them and smooth play. What creatures are stealing from you? Ones in Feywild, or? Thanks, and welcome to the forums! Funky

Thanks for the welcome! I'm mostly enjoying the server and liking the loot system a lot, specially. It's not. I don't know how the graphics will compare, but they are making edits that will greatly increase our ability to do cool things, and they're listening to server devs in the process, which I take as a good sign. As I said I didn't know much, so I'm glad it's actual gameplay improvements! I don't have a problem with reincarnation process or keys, actually. I was referring to the lost gear on death and difficulty to gear, but also the fact that it makes it harder being more or less forced to party for some accomplishments (at least being am open race melee), and not having players in that level to party with, which is why I was wondering if the idea to split servers and thus the playerbase when EE comes, may not be the best idea. Creatures that steal from me: quicklings, light (?) in dead wood, unknown creature in ruins of Anduin in front of temple (every. single. time), and some wendigo looking spirits in Halls of the Dead. Most of those places are like unavoidable. And yeah, losing gear you're using, pretty hard to come by, for 24h is no fun at all.

Atomies in dead wood, 10 years ago one of those bastards stole me one of the first BUR rings ever while I was just passing by, back when there was no 'wait-24-hours' and it was lost forever yes I raged hard. You can prevent pickpockets attempts by having high enough spot (based on wisdom, use items with bonus to that skill) or just run around invisible (no thief has true sight) or nuke/shot them from afar. I suggested allow players to spend more money (2-3x) to get back the item without waiting, or even a 'small portion of their soul' (xp) to speed up the process, whatever. I concour it's a newbie unfriendly option, in a few levels/on the next character you won't mind much, having banked gear to transfer over.

It's really not viable for me (I struggle as it is) to spec into wisdom and spot, honestly I thought about invisibility but can't find pots in any shop. I'm not saying you veterans had it easier, anyway, just like you said that makes a newbie struggle and rage, and doesn't help in new player retention. I speak for myself, the gap between a new player and vets starting with all those fancy "bur" races is very daunting, when you add these little things the beginning of the journy is discoraging.

But putting 50-100 stacks of arrows in your inventory (but so you still have under 150 items) makes it pretty likely the thieving brutes get a nice 1 GP stack of arrows instead of that armour you're cherishing for next level.

You can get items restored. The real annoying problem is trying to play with a shifter. You can't loot anything. The second you pick something up or drop something you get deshifted. Worse... in mid fight you'll deshift if pick pocketed. Try fighting the giants and trolls at anduins temple door as a shifter and suddenly getting pickpocketed... oh oh !

Rogue Spectre (first sight of them in the Ogre Caverns, I think) and Etheral Cutpurse have True Seeing.
I'm up for removing the 24h waiting time (or not losing the item at all!) because u cant even play anymore the same toon if u have lost a MUST item!
