im really trying to get into trading and info on it even if i don't get trades which i do want i need more subraces lol info is good to info is power ya know any ways if you have advice as of before feel free to comment or message me and if your here for trading same goes also p.s i would also like to say sorry for posting trade requests so often
ah i thought half cele mite be good because of the green druid build which dont get me wrong is a nice race and build from what i heard and its cool you still gave me info on what a good druid race is that in of it self is still helpful to me also thanks for the reply magecat
Half-celestial is a better druid choice if you're willing to eat the 20% xp penalty (worth it)
If you're looking to build cleric a Fallen Angel is totally viable. There are also cheaper burs that have similar utility and can usually be bought with gold: Anarch (for example make good cleric/druid cause of +6 wisdom); Erinyes is another good option.
generally you need something fairly valuable (to a vet's perspective, and therein lies the rub ofc) to trade for a BUR subrace like rilmani or half-celestial. they're among the most-desired and most-expensive BUR subraces. as a rule of thumb, gold is not going to work by itself. if and when it does, it's probably going to be pretty high (10+ bill range, probably closer to 15ish, and honestly in current environment i'd prolly shoot for 20~ for a "too good to turn down" deal).
waystones aren't necessarily great tradebait--again, generally speaking--because only a few players are rich enough to part with top-tier items/subraces for waystones. there's a few very rich players that cultivated a reputation of assigning a (relatively) high value for waystone, because it saves them time and lets them run limbo more, and they don't have much use for 99% of other crap players try to trade.
but the average person won't be giving up a half-celestial or rilmani for waystones, and if they do, it's almost certainly with the hope/intent to turn a future profit by flipping those same waystones to one of the couple of players that became known for offering waystone trades, for something like (you guessed it) half-celestial, that they can then use for some alt account, or trade to a noob like you.
if people ingame told you that waystones can be used as tradebait, they can probably also tell you to whom, so i'd probably recommend just reaching out directly to those players (ingame or PM) and see what kind of potential deal you could work out. either way, if you're shooting for waystone trades, just grind a lot of them and start making some trade posts here or shouts on bazaar channel, the higher the # the greater chance someone will find it too good a deal to turn down...that's really all can be said there.
if you want to have as diverse a tradebait pool as possible, to tempt as many players as possible (other than the richest .01%), there's no quick or dirty solution other than basically play hells+ a lot and try slowly build up a stash of good tradebait that works for upper-/top-tier stuff like caster BUR races.
very good (or amazingly good) randomized BURs wearable/non-broken egos on a good slot -> very good or amazingly good ego items (no simple way to break this down, you'll learn over time playing/talking about trades with ppl what this means) shield pandect, disarm pandect from min nessus secrets (serpent blood/ulith) or fine print, planeswalker ring mortal failings ring, TA (abos) i wouldn't even really put cha and str artis on the list for "waystone players" because most very rich boxing vets have huge numbers of these banked, but they're often desired by less-rich players, so solid tradebait in general other top-tier BUR races (rad gen, rilmani, half-celestial is prolly top 3, can probably usually do a 1-for-1 of these, others you're going to need multiples and prolly other stuff tossed in as well large amounts of gold can work as extra incentive when paired with some of this stuff
oh okie dokie and as i said info as well helps thanks for the reply and insight chirality and Msowby and also im avoiding clerics with a passion till it has a theme also there like the class every server wants new players to make and i understand why there good useful and strong but i never really enjoyed them i have fallen angel so i mite but im trying to put that class on the edge of the wait list lol and i guess ill just store waystones mind stills and whatever i find that is useful till i can find a trader the prob is at one min they will have value the next its kinda like meh so its hard to figure out which time is happening and thats referring to the people who do want them sometimes lol and i know im probably gonna have to do runs back to back winning the rolls for that type of stuff isnt easy i know tho thats whats going to have to be done winning rolls is not my luck so ill focus on very good burs hell even some urs from what im told are worth something with a good enough randomize i should be able to build up some stuff to add to my trade pool already have a few things just not alot and i should work on getting more gold as well it just goes so fast lmao also sorry for late reply just got home lol
The biggest thing I have noticed is that players want something amazing, but won’t sacrifice something amazing to get it. As chirality pointed out, you winning a nicely randomized bur with an added property is your quickest way to getting stuff you want. Often times that item is also something you want. Therein lies the rub. What do you want more?
In reality, that BUR is probably one of a kind, and you’ll never see it again. But, if you’re trading for a sub race that is a significant jump in power for you to enable stronger toons and more successful runs? You’ll get other things.
When I stated I prioritized subraces over everything else. Then, you pick one toon and dump all your resources into that one toon to get it decked out. Then move on to the next. Several UT players over the years have posted examples about Player A and Player B, and trading items. Player A focuses all his resources on one toon, and very quickly has a very solid and capable toon. Thus allowing him to then focus another. Player B focuses several toons who don’t end up with enough to get much better than they were and their problem persists.
It may be hard, but I would strongly encourage you to pick an A B C or D and focus that core. You’ll get into more runs, start more runs, and get more familiar with the module than any other way and profit immensely in the process.
well the prob is that is i get stuck on hell's so i make new builds to pass the time and run with my dad also avoiding all builds that want demi now demi is not easy to get ok it takes forever i know a lot of you guys have had years and the supplies but for me demi is just not a easy thing and i know i should focus on one but it gets so boring when i have a char that cant do a lot of runs on its own till theres a group making a new char is how i pass that time sometimes and when i do get a group i feel useless 9 times out of 10 till i over level the area i want to be helpful ya know and i swear if i hear cleric ill stab you lol jk i dont want to be useless at high levels i don't want to be constantly dragged and i mean it like yeah im helping im killing barely look at me get one shotted fail to land spells and forget them all afterwords how is that fun or making me want to keep going with that char dont get me wrong i plan to finish everything i make but i just need a break from feeling useless or being the added burden of a group i would rather just play a new char sometimes and try out builds i never played plus only have 2 chars so far one is a tank who cant tank till double demi yaaaay ya no as i said demi wil be awhile so hes basically useless till then and wizard who never lands spells and he has great gear from what im told and who i will reincarnate into something once hes done with hells hes on the 7th i view that as stuck so making a druid or just something different is away to get away from all this for a bit also alot of you have helped me on both chars and i thank you for that also on the note of the making aloot pool to trade great stuff for great stuff i agree all trades should be fair and that i should probably focus on one build but i just make other chars so im not doing nothing or being a pain also i probably should pick subs over everything else but thats hard to do as well not complaining in it p.s sorry if this was a mess was fixxing some parts and speed write main point is why i make new chars tho i do agree as i said with what your saying
Make a sorc to solo all the LL runs. That will give you a very solid basis for trading. Looking at the artifacts, crucibles, thids, etc. Then have another core for hell. I am very close to having 5 prince wins on all of my toons and then I'll be prioritizing hells a lot more regularly to give off x7 demi for each of them so I can aid your struggle very soon. In general, if you can play US evenings, I can get you in on runs on a regular basis.
