Hi, im started playing on this server Last week and noticed that my pms summons dont progressing with lvl and necro focuses. At 7 PM lvl and 2 necro focuses and specializatoin in necro my zombie have the same stats, that was an PM lvl 2 without focuses. My second PM summon is ghoul)(5-6lvl of PM) , but it must be a next summon at 7 lvl. And his stats is the original nwn stats without changes from focuses. Sorry for bad english.

There is always a random element when casting summons; at lower level it may even outweight CL and focus rank. Also pre-40 the type of summon will stay the same, a zombie will always be a zombie (only slightly stronger). Only after level 40 you will start getting different creatures.

The thing is there is no random element in PM, s feat animate undead. Its every time exactly the same stats without any difference.

Oh, I donĀ“t believe the PM summoning feat has any significant progression, until you hit lvl 40 too. Needless to say, both summons from spells (the best one you can get is from maximized Shades) and feats (including mummy and dracolich) are underwhelming in general and often do more harm than good.

Even after that, frankly. If you want a summon to tank for you, scribe yourself couple BBoD scrolls

The best one you'll get from the Summon Undead line iirc is the Sanguineous Drinker as at least that one is self-healing to an extent, however it will (as is common for most summons), attack things you don't want it to (KB mobs, Mammons tears, etc), won't attack things you specifically do want it to and will get dismissed by various creatures that have that ability usually at the most inconvenient moments. On a more positive note whilst PM's are somewhat limited in the spells they can effectively cast those that they are focused in can be extremely effective and when you run out of them you can use your infinite uses of deathless master touch to try and poke non-death immune creatures until you can rest

In my experience, the tankiest PM specific (ish) summon is Shadow Demon from maximized Shades. It has its own conceal and with PM's own buffs (Shadow Conjuration: Mage Armor, Shades: Stoneskin) has AC in low 120s. It can hold quite a while, but again so can BBoD from a scroll and doesn't cost you a lvl 9 slot
