Posting links to other games is forbidden on these forums iirc so you'll have to look for it on your own... KE. ?! Posting links to other games is forbidden?! Can anybody confirm this? I was planning on starting a thread for everybody's favorite regular mods, preferably with links to their locations at the nwnvault. KE is is a DM, so no one really needs to confirm it; that said, yes, he's correct. This forum is for discussing HG, not promoting other games. Funky

Knight Errant's "iirc" made me think they were not sure. When you say "forum" do you mean anywhere on the Higher Ground BB or just this specific sub-board? I had been thinking about the asking for favorite modules in the "off-topic" or "Drunken Monk Tavern" sub-forums.

HG is the original Path of Ascension module written by AW Trespasser that has been modified/morphed into what you see today. Was it a stand alone single player module? Does anybody have a link to the original .mod and .hak files? If memory serves, it started as a clan's multi-player mod that basically turned into a community standard base mod. Most pre-ll is the same except immo (I think Lolth was endgame in original mod), but everything LL+ is new (maybe not unique to HG but it wasn't in the original). There's still a page dedicated to a version of it on Neverwinter Vault but I haven't tried to download and would be pretty surprised if it were the original. Even if it were, you probably wouldn't find much more than you can already find in-game or in the wiki.

Everything LL+ is unique to HG - I wrote and released the LL system after testing it here. Lolth was not in the original afaik - it was added by some of HG's original developers. HG was created by AW, and they released it publicaly, at which point the original admin Rip and a few others started work on it. I took over after a couple years, circa 2003. This is accurate. While I mean no offense to AW, their mod is not competition to HG in anyway. It has nowhere near the content, and has a lot of clunky code that causes serious lag. One of my first major projects was ripping it out and putting in leaner code. Funky
