first of all the difference between rouges and assasin is huge if not in offense sense... rogue get more skill point and able to access some best feats in game. plus giving rogue dev crti would so mess the need for assasin i mean why brother to make a lvl 30 assasin when you can go straight rogue and get 4 more feat and access to epic dodge and conceal 1 to 5, and sipply mind

Do you know how much time and effort I put into my Dex Assassin? After previously studiously building a Str Assassin then getting it nerf'ed I can confidently say there is no reason to negatively mess with the Dex Assassin (obviously you could make them harder . I also have a lvl 43 Rogue (pure) which I might come back to when I have finished with my Assassin but at the minute my first priority is getting Ghostly to level 60, which would make him my first whoopee!

Greetings,
IMHO, secrets and special abilities are added to classes in order to (1.) over come a specific and critical weakness or (2.) balance the class with the more powerful/useful ones. If this is true, then WM and Rogue are (again IMHO) THE two classes that set the standard for the rest. Rogue bonus feats, massive defensive capabilities, and the almost unique ability to get into anything put it at the pinacle. WM is the universally accepted way to add melee punch especially against the non-crit immunie but also in general with the increases to ab. As such, I would not expect any additions to either WM or Rogue.
DD in a high magic world (and HG is HIGH MAGIC) is auto-nerfed since the stat mods from def. stance become redundant / superfluous with the +12 stat cap. They are however part of the DD concept/package and so adding a bit to counter act that loss, say with a bit more offense that is tied to the stance, makes a good deal of sense.
As to Dev. Crit., a potential one-shot kill for a tanker is a HUGE ability especially given the number of attacks a tanker gets per round and there being no way for a tanker to "run out" or have to replenish the supply. (Notice that with "keening" this doensn't even apply to assassins, btw.) To add the one-shot kill to a rogue who can get into anything, has an ac of 130, epic dodge, sc5, and probably dual weilds is, IMO, just a bit over the top even for HG. If it happened, I would think ALL new tankers would be exactly as many levels of rogue as was necessary to qualify for the DC. There would no longer be a better/rival melee build. Thus, I'd say, "Not a chance."
Cheers,
The Dancer

Yup, we'll definitely not be adding dev crit to any classes, after the str assassin experiment. In general, I try to avoid giving classes powes identical to those of other classes, since the point is to have each class present a different play experience. Funky

Hooray I got Ghostly to 60 and can people stop calling Rogues Rouges, it's a colour not a character class!
